billvon 3,076 #8 June 13, 2002 >So remind me never to go to Taiwan. a place that the people eat dog and human> testies is not the place for me. sorry. I find that such things are often blown out of proportion, myself. I've been to China, and found the food to be pretty good (for example.) It's interesting what they think of us - the unsanitary Americans who put their toilets in their houses, in a room right next to their beds! Doesn't that spread disease? The Americans who have no idea what's in the things they eat. (Do you really know what's in a Twinkie?) The Americans, who are all fat, rich and clueless about the rest of the world. The Americans who eat entire pigs, head and all. The Americans who sexually mutilate their male infants in some sort of bizarre ritual.I think people are pretty much the same all over. Dog has nothing on head cheese, pork rinds and prairie oysters, all American favorites. I think the number of people who eat human testes in China is about equivalent to the number of Jeffery Dahmers we have here.-bill von
freeflir29 0 #9 June 13, 2002 Funny points Billvon. There are a million of them. I lived in Korea for 1 1/2 years and certainly learned a lot. Been to many other places as well and the local customs are always interesting to me. I can't stand it when "Americans" say stupid things when they haven't even tried it. I personally...at least try the food. I can't eat "real" Korean food, like out in the boonies where no one speaks English. Absolutely digusting. Now, Americanized Korean food I like. Can't say much for the food in Egypt either. Thank God for Pizza Hut!! Now South America...they have good food!! Just no bugs please....."Here I come to save the BOOBIES!" freeflir29 0 #23 June 14, 2002 Quotei forgot that you both were from a different countryHey!!! Don't throw me in with that Nacmac Euro trash!!! I was born in the US and have lived here most of my life. I have also visited quite a few other countries and I hate to tell you...but many other countries don't hold "Americans" in such high regard because of the way "we" treat people. When "some" Americans travel everything is "crazy" "screwed up" "dirty" etc etc etc. Americans in general don't normally know how to "Do as the Romans" and often come off looking like jackasses to the local populace. How many Americans speak anything other than English? A small percentage. How many Europeans speak more than one language? Most....just one example. "Here I come to save the BOOBIES!"
