SkydiveMonkey 0 #1 June 12, 2002 What's the best solo exit out of a cessna? We got tandems coming up, and I want to look cool !! Wynona's got herself a big brown beaverand she shows it off to all her friends ....
Lindsey 0 #2 June 12, 2002 My "coolest" solo 182 exits were on the board..... Hard to look real cool pulling off a hot exit alone....Peace~LindseyYa' know Smack-water Jack he bought a shotgun'cause he was in the mood for a little con-fron-ta-tion
nws01 0 #3 June 12, 2002 I like to go as far out on the wing as you can and let my feet hang into the wind. Then swing your legs and either release into backflips or swing your legs and put them above the wing . Then release with your hands and you will be hanging from the wing with your feet. Then gently release your feet and you will leave the plane head down.Blue Skies,Nathan
Hooknswoop 19 #4 June 12, 2002 Climbing down and hanging off the wheel is fun. Going hand over hand out to the wing tip will get the pilot's attention (and the aircraft owner if you don't use the rivet lines for where the ribs are inside the wing as your hand holds), standing on the step, facing foward, and doing a reverse pike exit is fun, and hanging by your toes from the wing is also fun. Be careful when doing a new exit, especially one requiring more climbing around. Pre-mature deployments are bad, damaging the aircraft is bad, making the aircraft difficult to control w/o getting permission from and warning the pilot is bad. Practice any new climbout on the ground first.Hook

rking12 0 #6 June 12, 2002 One of the best ever is to go out to the end of the step, get a hold of the strut swing your feet up and catch your toes on the leading edge of the wing. The wind will hold your toes against the wing until you decide to straighten your toes and fall off backwards. You want to be past all the steps and stuff you might hit. We call it the Batman... This is hard if you are not in shape. Skinny people seem to have the best luck.

Iflyme 0 #8 June 12, 2002 I'd say 5 back loops off the step should impress the tandems!"There's nothing new under the sun"
indyz 1 #9 June 12, 2002 I like to face the tail and just step off. From there you can tuck up and do backflips or just let yourself fall on your back and watch the plane.--Brian
MrHixxx 0 #10 June 12, 2002 go hang out on the strut then rock forward and flip your feet up on top of the wing, slowly let go and you can hang by the tops of your feet on the wing facing down the windline.another fun one is to hang in the back of the door frame with one foot on the step. I shot a great 8-way doing this exit a couple weeks ago. I swooped into the formation after having the base on screen from the exit on the lead plane. It was cool!!-Hixxx"Woman... Wu -mon... Kirils 1 #11 June 12, 2002 The coolest exit is to hang off the front of the strut facing up and drop off onto your back in a track! Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...
BPO 0 #12 June 12, 2002 Tandempassengers will think (know! .... falling out backwards looks pretty neat though..Cheers!
SkydiveMonkey 0 #13 June 12, 2002 I'm thinking of "accidentally" falling out after spotting !! I swear it's everywhere, it's everything -Chilli Peppers
FallingMarc 0 #14 June 13, 2002 Hey! Hey! How about the one where you climb out to the end of the strut, then swing your feet up and hang! Has anyone mentioned that yet?
thrillseek 0 #15 June 13, 2002 If you want to hang there and impress, do the batman.I personally go for the artistic approach. Stand on the step facing the inside where they can see you. This way you are sideways to the direction of flight. Give them the peace sign and then bring both arms behind your straight legs and just roll off in a "pike" exit. Hold until you think no one is watching! :)
