What is the view from your window?

Recommended Posts

I know it's idle chit chat, but I am bored.
I am pretty fortunate with my office view. I am right now looking at nice green mountains and a blue sky in the Green Mountain Forest Range in Vermont. Probably why I can't keep my mind on my work.:(

I got a small view of a tree covered patio with some parasels(sp?) and Blue Sky. Though I am usually staring right into my computer so as it can suck the soul out of me right through my eyes more efficiently...........

What's a window? The view from my desk is my computer and a wall. To my right are two more desks, computers and a wall. To my left is a fax machine, printer, another desk and computer and a wall. Oh wait... if I turn around 180 degrees there's a window, from which I can see a tree, some bushes, parked cars and a huge stack of large pipes.
But at least it's a beautiful day outside, perfect for skydiving. ;)

Well right now, I'm looking out facing East at many trees in our court yard from a second story office window. Some of the trees are flowering with humming birds flitting around drinking nectar. Above our four story building I can see a clear blue sky without a cloud in sight and a soft breeze evidenced by flags waiving gently towards the north-east.

The street in an office park on the far west end of Madison, Wi. with the Univ. students turned office girls in thier summer dresses walking by, with the occasional Redtail Hawk circling overhead and even the odd deer (which are slated to soon become an extinct species in southern Wisconsin) wandering through. Then there's the 1,800 foot radio tower just south of here that lets you figure out how low the cloud base is :)

Did you ever see the movie "Office Space"? Right now, my view is a little worse than Milton's (I think you owe me a stapler).
27 f'in' years with a company and I'm still a cubical, aisle and another office away from a window that would look out on a fenced in area that serves as an employee walkway.
Nice.
Is it any wonder that my weekend office is on the camera step of a Twin Otter?

From the inside out - my lake, my ducks, my jumping fish, my tall cumulus clouds (that teased me every day I was down with a broken leg), and a gorgeous view of the sunset every evening reflected on the lake.
From the outside in: me naked or in panties... surfing the net or doing crunches or watching skydiving vids. And the eternal grin of a skydiver plastered on my mug.

The view from my desk is this computer. Being in the military I work in an operations center with no windows, Guards at he door and keys on the telephones. But the cinderblock walls are painted a lovely shade of off-white with just the slightest hint of red.

See attached. Right out the window is a little sliver of my yard and a lot of my neighbor's yard. Across the street is Boulder Park, and some more houses beyond it. If I panned the view to the right a little bit, you could see a little cove on Gages Lake.
