sangiro 26 #1 June 4, 2002 Ok boys and girls,I have released the hounds from Canada onto the sever and they have done some beautiful things.... I understand very little of it but will read it up over the next few days...Mod_perl is now handling all the Forum and Adcycle (the script the shows the banners at the top of each page) requests. These are the two resource hogs. The numbers look good (I may not have to put out for extra CPU after all) but I need you guys to tell me if there's a difference. Best test is the old user test! This should improve the performance of the entire site as there are now 2 Apache servers, one biggie doing the hard pulling and a smaller one being freed up to spend all its time serving up light scripts, HTML pages and images. It's running fast enough that I might as well be on my T1 connection (which seemed to have very limited bandwidth because of the skydivingmovies.com server pissing someone off). One more week till I'm on cable internet for the rest of the summer.
