Snowbird 0 #39 June 3, 2002 2 job leads:2:2ish (first door dive, first really lousy jump)I LOVE door dives! Oh yeah, it's the way to go! No more strut. First jump was another 10 second delay, but my first door dive and it was sweet! Second jump was a 20 second delay, and it was not so sweet. Rag doll anyone? Exited okay, then went ass over backward, got stable. Then lost it again, ended up on my back, got stable. Apparently I was kicking and dropping my head, and thus losing my stability. Watched my alti real close, waved off and pulled at 4000, but pulled sloppy and rolled, had line twists and a lazy slider. Whew! I learned a lot of what not to do. Not too happy with myself, but everyone at the dz kept me from being too hard on myself. Have a long list of 'things to practice before the next one'. All said, it still rocked! freeflir29 0 #45 June 3, 2002 0:6:0Sweet weekend but lots of work. It's damn hot here in Georgia and I did lots of jumps chasing beginer Free Flyers all over the sky!!! That stuff will wear you out. I also did my first really successful tandem video. Even docked on the student. The video is hilarious though. I was totally skydiving with the tandem master and NOT the student. Oh well....I was just thrilled that I can fall that slow with the new suit! Did a couple more spaceball jumps which are pretty darn cool! Can't wait for the Casa and balloon jumps this weekend!!!! scottbre 0 #46 June 3, 2002 5/1 (ratio of sitfly to RW jumps that I did this weekend):6:4I went up to Orrville, OH (south of Cleveland) to visit my parents this weekend, and ended up spending most of Saturday at Aerohio which was like 10 minutes from my parents' house. I met some cool people there including Jari (the guy who docked his birdman suit with a person under canopy). They were there letting people jump the different birdman suits for the weekend. On my drive back to Indianapolis, I decided at the last moment to stop by SGC and see what was going on and say hi to some people. I ended up doing a 3 person sitfly jump and my last double digit jump number in the same jump.1. First 14 point 4 way (That's the Falcon award for all you snobby freefliers 2. First sit-train exit (only 2 of us, but it was still cool, and I have video of it.)3. First time at Aerohio.4. First time being in the plane with a family member. (Convinced my sister to do a tandem)It was a good weekend in my book. I live on the wrong coast.
