I have three spare bedrooms at my house. Unfortunately, it's in North Dakota. On the upside, the rent is free. The downside is a three-month jumping season. On the SkydiveFargo website they claim to jump year-round. If that is true they must jump with 'Lectric Vests!!! Still haven't made it down there to visit and find out what's up.

Is Hawai'i an option for you Skymedic?
MUST warn you though; our humble home is soooo freakin small that we, (my wife and I), can be sitting on the throne in our bathroom and still be able to reach, and rotate, the dinner plate inside our microwave oven at the same time. ;)
The scenery around here is great however.....:)"This is the 4th time I've been late for work this week!!...and it's only Tuesday!" ...Cheech and Chong

Dont ya have to have like a D license to jump over there...I dont even have my water training yet...although I am less than 50 jumps from my D.......hmmm.....maybe...although Licensing regs to get my paramedic license over there is tough....so maybe hawaii is out of the question....and small kingdom get crowded...and I'd feel bad...gotta be somewhere out there...maybe airann will take me in...the home for the wayword skydivers.....and cute dogs...and cats..

Oh well...our offer and aloha will always stand for you my brother...
D License to jump??
No, but the landings can get a bit precarious with the trade winds out here. The view while in freefall, however, certainly outwieghs the sketchy landing conditions :)"This is the 4th time I've been late for work this week!!...and it's only Tuesday!" ...Cheech and Chong

If this came a couple of months from now, I'd have a room for ya in southern California marc - but the kid hasn't moved out yet.
But if you think you might be interested in moving out here, pm me. There's plenty of jumpers out here with extra space, and jobs aren't too hard to find. Not to mention warm weather and big airplanes ;)

--seriously, in the beginning of august or sooner, one of my roomates is moving out--rent is cheap and we want to stay in our nice duplex. The only thing that sucks is that it is in Michigan.

Hey now!
There's nuthin' wrong with pitchin' a tent at a DZ

When you pitch a tent in the middle of a blizzard it makes me wonder about your sanity.....but i guess you are Canadian, maybe that explains it. ;)

Hey, Marc! I'm sorry you're having such a tough time right now, and I will try to send some good vibes your way. You can stay at my apartment for the month of July (my lease ends July 31st.) And I'm sure I can think of something for after that. For the summer, you could always just pitch a tent at Hinckley!

Maybe skymama has an extra room?? Wouldn't that be the shit??

LOL! Don't be so sure, I'm a pain-in-the-ass!
Marc, my couch has a sleeper sofa in it if you come back this way. You'd have to store your stuff, and put up with the kids, but my door is open to you.

We have one more room here that we can rent out till Aug 15th. I'm moving to a different place then anyways and need a roommate from then till May. *shrug* Texas is definately a different place, but I live 5 minutes away from Skydive Aggieland, 1 hour away from SD Houston, 2 hours from SD Spaceland, 2 hours away from SD San Marcos, 1 hour away from SD Austin, 4 hours away from SD Dallas and 4 hours away from SD Texas...
I *am* serious by the way.

I may actually have just what you're looking for. My roommate may be having to move to North Carolina very soon and I'll need someone to fill his spot here. I live in sunny southern California about 50 minutes from both Perris Valley and Elsinore dropzones and 15 minutes from Newport and Huntington beach... PM me if you're interested and we can talk...
