A couple of jumps at my home DZ on Sat and to pick up my rig which sems to live in the loft lately...
Got to meet the Outspoken Sebazz on Sunday at Lodi (first). he was too busy doing jumps with the local skygods to jump with lil ole me :) (How was the plane ride back to Monterey BTW, get to jump in? ) Made a jump with this guy from Hi which was awesome. We did a train exit and then he transitioned to head down and orbited around me while I rotated with him. Also made my first jump out of a Beech

2 the amount of times tomas said he had his best skydive ever..: 2good weekend at archway....even if joe didn't wanna jump with me....cause he was stuck on doing that RW stuff...
got a nice sit fly in with tomas...what a great guy with good advice too..oh yeah..I almost had the whole DZ out looking for me with a search party...all cause I wanted to go see my grandma for a few hours.....geeze....

Skyrose, that's mighty fine motivation! Sure works, huh? A guy at the DZ offered up a free drink to the student who came closest to the mark - three of us, all at about the same point in our progression - and we all landed almost bang on! without that motivation.

first cross country jump (5 miles out from the dz and me under my 265sq.ft. and clay under his 170 stiletto) and first ime the dzo told me and kreg off and to take it ome where else or go to sleep..that was a bummer for the night... but i did get to jump with lindsey and clay and hada blast.......... and the "bamma" rocked!!

it only took a little pixie dust to change this mispelling

Lotsa good stuff again. Did a fun cross-country with ramon, pop, gemini, Rachill & a few others. Got out about 8 miles out but the uppers were way weaker than we expected so we wound up landing about 3 miles off. Thank God for cell phones.
Also got in on one of our tandem-instructor's wedding anniversary jump with his wife, who's also a fun jumper. She rode as a tandem and about 12 of us bailed out & tried to get a round going off them. I was out last, so I never got down to 'em but it was still loads of fun. "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."

Owe 2 cases, one for my first beach jump and the other for first jump on my new jumpsuit! That thing kicks ass and I can fly REALLY slow. I had to kind of re-learn sit flying though. Took about 4 jumps. Did a cross country with Wingnut from 13,000. My legs were going to sleep by the time I got to the ground...LOL. Scenery was awesome with the coast in the background. Did a 4 way with Lindsey, Wingnut, and one of Lindsey's friends. Couple of Head down jumps with locals at Emerald Coast. Fun Fun weekend......Oh and we saw some sheep....

First hybrid dive (I was one of the belly fliers, of course)
First tube dive (twelve bodies rolling out of the Casa in a configuration resembling a cheese log)
First raft dive (I did one inside the raft and one as an anchor. Cool as sh_t!)
... and some fun and productive RW.
The Memorial Day boogie at Skydive the Point was a blast, and the weather couldn't have been better.

First try at the SDC 4 way scrambles - on our teams very first jump we turned 14 freakin' points, 10 of which were in time (I only have like 40 RW jumps total) - wished we had hit 16 for the Dbl Falcon, but oh well, by the end of it we took First Place, *yay* - see, Freeflier-wanna-be's can learn to Belly fly First jump in new RW jumpsuit.
First time surfing over 50 feet from a straight in approach - the comment to me afterwards was, "I didn't think you were going to stop till the runway." We had like zilch winds. By the time I stopped, my sandles had slide right up my ankles, from the speed I was going when I put my feet down.
First time out of a King Air, hopefully my last time out of a King Air - at least for RW - talk about big time funnel generator, if you're a floater - you're gonna be hanging on for dear life. All I could hear on jump run was the 'waaaahhhh' of the stall horn. A little unsettling.

One of the best weekends ever, bar none. Holy shit.
It was Memorial Day boogie at Archway and Skydive Chicago's Otter came to visit (the one wiht the stereo). Missy Nelson was on hand to do freefly coaching. I had never met her before, she is super-nice and an incredible skydiver. I got 9 in Saturday, 10 in Sunday on the perfect skydiving day--sunny, 78 degrees and NO wind, and 4 today only because we were all so tired by like 4 no one wanted to keep going....
I got 4 or 5 coached jumps in with Missy as well as several others with Chris and Orion and went from barely flying headdown somewhat stable to taking multiple docks headdown.....these are the best skydives Medic refers to--and the second one is on video so it actually happened!!! Wow, what a kickass weekend. Also, I took part in Jabeln's 200th and Canopycuddler's 200th. I lead a 15 way tracking dive that worked really well and all in all skydived my ass off.
Now, i gotta save up some money to be able to do another weekend like this. and i plan to pay the folks in Ottawa a visit soon, i hope.

I showed up at Eloy at 9:30 am saturday, I was promptly greeted by Vallerina and AggieDave.
7 Jumps saturday, 2 sunday, 7 monday before 2:00pm. Sunday was disapointing because the winds were 7 gusting to 27... I'm not entirely sure on the jump numbers. I'll check the pro-track when I unpack.
Ok, let's figure out the firsts.
1) first time in Arizona (there are mountains in Arizona? Who knew?)
2) first time at eloy (Way cool DZ. My favorite so far)
3) first time jumping with SkyBytch (Great fun!)
4) first time jumping with AggieDave (Good beer)
5) first time jumping with BBarnhouse (Hillarious)
6) first time jumping with BillVon (nice docks! )
7) first time jumping with Monk (cool!)
8) first time flying accross the country for skydiving. (mental note: ATA - never again)
9) first time seeing AggieDave rave dance. Oops, I don't think I was suposed to mention that...
10) first time seeing a medivac... (70 jump wonders who toggle 180 degrees at 70 feet suck)
That's all the firsts I can think of. I'm sure I'll add more later.

We built the hybrid dive for DZ.Com record,
wrestled on the floor with Billv, got two wet willies, skipped down the road with Bill & Skybytch under a full moon with no ruby slippers to be found.
Pointed out all the cute single guys that soon became potential victims for Vallerina.
Did the same with Andy and Aggie only with the gals.

Hung with some cool people that I would never have met had it not been for DZ.com.

Owe beer for my first 16 way.
Cross-country with Zennie, ramon, gemini, Pop, and a few others. Got out 8 miles out and the uppers sucked, so we landed about 3 miles away as whuffos watched us land in a field near a road, then drive off without offering a ride back. Luckily we had cell phones on us.
Did a helicopter jump, a hybrid dive, 6-way rw and a couple of 3-way freefly's................. Mix it up, it's more fun!!!
Bonfire on Saturday night with a bunch of drunk skydivers... what a great weekend!

2 sit flys and 2 horny gorillas. On the 2nd Horny gorilla 3 of us made it in but 1 person did not so I grabbed his arm and we were spinning around fast as hell. So fast my arm came out of its socket. Luckily it was my left arm so I could deploy but I could'nt track worth shit so I watched everyone else track and pulled low ! The force of deployment put my arm back in its socket.

I'd love to jump a King Air. But taking less than 1/2 hour and more than 10,000 feet would seem weird Roll on the BCPA nationals at Hibaldstow - 15,000 on every lift !! woohoo !!
