I just took some time off from work, so I have to be here on call. And my lack of a vehicle means I have to stay close to work when I'm on call. But I'm gettin a car next week, so I'll be jumpin more. What'd you do to bust yourself up Muenkel?

Well, right now we have clouds at like 500 feet so jumping today is totally out.
I went out to the dz last night to do my first jump back after my injury (eek) and something went wrong with our little cessna and I couldn't jump. I was all geared up and walking to the plane when we had to turn around.
Yup, the skygods are conspiring against me. But on the upside, I didn't have to practice my emergency skills while bailing out of our plane! That would not be how I want my first jump back to go.

I 2nd what Michele said. No money = no jumpy. I'll be going straight from work on Monday though; hopefully I'll have made some cash by then, otherwise I'll have to rob a bank on the way... because I have a serious desire to be borne upon a mechanical vehicle to transport passengers above ground level and depart from said vehicle at an exceptionally prominent altitude, accoutering a collapsible lift-producing nylon lifesaving device to be deployed in a state of freefall.

ARGH! I'm telling ya! It's gorgeous here, but we're packing for our move next weekend. On the upside we both have total rigs now, ready to be packed up as soon as we arrive in NC by the rigger and jumped silly. Merrick's first jump on his first new gear...beer worthy for sure!

It is BEAUTIFUL down here in Gulf Shores. Spent the day on the beach today with the kiddos, and gonna try to get out to Elberta tonight (again) to see if those lame-ass jumpers haven't turned in early..... Tomorrow we're gatherin' up the kids for a day at the dz. The beach has been great, though.....shore can't complain.

Why not at the dz? I've had a headcold all week. Sinuses are just about feeling normal today. If I feel 100% tomorrow... whoohoo! I get to do 10 second delays tomorrow! FallinMarc, I love that description! I might have to borrow it if that's okay.

On May 2nd at the beginning of my AFF training, I injured a nerve in my right shoulder during tunnel training. Hand and arm are still numb and lack full dexterity. To top things off, I was in a car accident this past Weds.

I have no license, and I live four and a half hours from my home DZ. But, I just clocked out at 55 hours for the week, plus seven tommorrow, equals rig money. And I'll be down to Archway to get the A less than two weeks now. I can hold out. I just have to keep telling myself that.
