pop 0 #1 May 22, 2002 I had a number of skydiving dreams before I started skydiving last year, but none since I've started, till last night. Yes, it was my FIRST skydiving dream, so I guess I owe beer, again. Anyway, it went something like this. I was getting ready to do a hop and POP, and my dad was there to watch. I got all my equipment on, and got in the plane. As we were getting closer to 4,000 feet, I tried to put my helmet on, but it just wouldn't go. And then I realized that my rig is off, and I started panicking. The red light came on, and the door opened. I tried to get my rig on, but it would go on either. I tried hard, and finally got it over my shoulders, but couldn't get my leg straps on. My heart was beating hard. All of a sudden the whole side of the plane turned into a door, and rather than flying forward, the plane started flying sideways, and things were getting sucked out of the plane. At that point I just jumped. SkydiveMonkey 0 #3 May 22, 2002 Very strange. My best one was after getting out first, I pulled low and the canopy sniveled loads. It opened about about 100 feet, but instead of slowing me down, it converted my downwards freefall speed to horizontal, and I swooped about 1/4 mile on the rear risers !! Rachill 0 #6 May 22, 2002 I was tracking away from a group of people once and just kept tracking all the way to the ground and kind of slid over the grass like I was on a slip-n-slide or something. I got up and walked up to someone else and they just gave me a high five and said my landing looked NICE!!!
