Widgets

Recommended Posts

Why is it that everyone likes to talk about widgets. What in the F%$k is a widget, who owns widgets, where can I buy stock, are they hiring? Seems like everywhere I read that Holly meltingbutterpants wants to write an app to market widgets. Or Joe surefootloser is planning a new widgets inventory package to maintain inventory on widgets so they are always in stock............I want a widget, and I want it now!
hopefully someone will know what in the hell I'm talkin about-lol, for those who dont, it's a lame joke........

A widget is the adjustable retaining clip found inside the cargo holds of wide body airliners. It is used to lock the baggage containers in place.
It's plastic cousin is found in beer tins.
A larger widget is refered to as a goodiegat and a smaller one is a magodie.
For example. There is a magodie inside a click click switch.
There is no magodie inside a click cluck switch.
"What is a click click switch?" I hear you ask.
Well It is a switch that if you turn it one way it goes 'click' and when you turn it back it goes 'click'.
A click cluck switch goes 'click' one way and 'cluck' the other way.
A cluck cluck switch is generally a broken click cluck switch.
Although I have heard that there are working cluck cluck switches coming out of China right now. I must check my latest copy of "Engineering News"
A thingymabob has nothing to do with the widget family at all but may be what the Chinese are using inside the working cluck cluck switches.
I hope this helps

the thingamabob is the near cousin of the thingamajig. The bob has a sinker ;the jig rigs it up (not to be cornfused with a jibb.) I'm sure that if you were to ask Clay he could sort it all out for you. His Mother's cousin's boyfriend's sister's grandpa invented them down south somewhere in 1863. I think it was Alabama or maybe it was in Misery (cause it's the show me state and Clays always liked to play show and I'll tell).........anyway they are right up there on the list of must haves along with the "no seeums"

Can Clay prove any of this because if he can and the Chinese are truly using thingamabobs in their cluck cluck switches our boy could be due some $$$.
I just mailed a mate of mine in Spain about the switches and he says it is true. He opened one on his desk this morning. He confirms that the thing was filled with boinggones and when the finally finds them all he will let me know if a thingamabob is amongst them. He does however, confirm my suspicions that there is nothing resembling a widget or any of it's family inside the cluck cluck switch. There are none of the very distinctive mounting points that it requires, inside the casing.
I will keep you advised.

awe geez.......must I tell eveything? The doohickeys are classified with the noseeums. The cluck cluck switches only work if the doohicky is attatched to the widget via the thingamabobs thingamajig and the nooseeum just sits there for asthetic puposes.I think.........I haven't actually seen one.....yet.although Lummy has said he has seen one and assures me that they work right beside the yubawazzees.

You know, it seems like some folk were raised in a cave.
Nice explanation there BB. If they don't get it now they never will.
Tino from Spain says he has found all the boinggons except one but it appears to be the nooseeum that has gone missing. If you are right and it is there purely for asthetics he might as well leave it out.B|
