retrofit booties

I've got 2 jumpsuits that are in good condition but don't have booties - any thoughts on retro fitting booties to a standard jumpsuit would be appreciated .. I had a rigger quote me time and materials for around $150, thought that was a little high.

as far as price, pretty sure that's exactly what I paid to send my suit back to bevsuits and have them put the booties on.

Almost every rigger I have met considers booties to be a huge hassle and pain in the A##. That price may reflect only the time necessary to build those damn things, OR it may reflect time plus a "I REALLY hate working on booties" surcharge.

at that price i'd send them to the suit manufacturer to make.
i'd personally do that anyway so that you get the same materials and guarantee.
in all honesty your best bet would probably be to sell them and buy a new one with booties from a financial point of view.

It is easier to build a new suit than it is to repair or make mods. to one.

Opinion: Not too high. Takes "forever" and the sewer has to have dressmaker skills. And...results vary. Send the suits to the mfg and get'r done right. Probably pay the same.
