CatBurger 0 #1 May 8, 2002 OK, I'll stop the dancing, I know that scares everyone, but I'm going to Carowinds on Sunday! :-D Carowinds is a theme park for all you old geezers. Before wanting to skydive so much I put my adrenaline junkieness butt on roller coasters to satisfy it (not my butt, the adrenaline jnky part). Carowinds is 3 hours away so this is purty special :-D

CatBurger 0 #3 May 8, 2002 Yeah I know what ya mean (I assume ya should insert a comma between jumping and roller coasters...*giggles at thought of base jumping from roller coasters*), but hey, better than nothing when ya cant find a place to let ya jump! pop 0 #4 May 8, 2002 Haven't been on a roller coaster since I started skydiving. But I imagine it's not the same.....Though I bet I will still get a thrill from my favorite one, which is Dungeon Drop in AstroWorld Six Flags Houston.....----------"The greatest trick the devil ever pulled, was convincing the world he doesn't exist!" Spy38W 0 #5 May 8, 2002 I just thought of something, since you can't jump yet, maybe you could try getting some tunnel time? I'm not sure what the age limitation is, but it would probably be pretty fun for you, and might help for when you do start to skydive. Get other peoples opinions who have done it though...--Give them a sip of the darkside, and they just thirst for more.

AggieDave 6 #7 May 8, 2002 It's the Texas Giant for me at 6 flags over Texas...that and the Titan, cool coasters, not as cool as jumping, though.AerialsSo up highWhen you free your lives (the) eternal prize

kmcguffee 0 #10 May 8, 2002 Sounds like fun! Unlike these other studs, roller coasters scare the crap out of me. I love them! I'm all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools. Let's start with typewriters.
CatBurger 0 #11 May 8, 2002 oooooh wind tunnel, that would be fun, but I have no clue where one is.P.S. Hypersonc XLC is my favorite coaster, its at kings dominion in virgina, launced, ya go from 0-80 mph in 1.8 seconds :-)
Spy38W 0 #12 May 8, 2002 QuoteMaybe, if I werent so slow, and knew what tunnel time was, hehEh, you're not slow, I'm just here using skydiver jargon...Tunnel time is when you fly your body in a vertical wind tunnel so you can simulate the skydive in a column of moving air, without the falling and parachute ride..Try http://www.tunnelcamp.com/ to see some pictures.--Give them a sip of the darkside, and they just thirst for more. skymama 37 #14 May 8, 2002 My son also went to the tunnel when he was 10, and loved it. He's wants to be a skydiver too.Amusement parks don't do it for me now either. I passed on a free ticket to Universal just last weekend. The rides are fine I guess, but the heat and the long lines with stinky people totally ruin the experience for me. I'll just take the stinky people at the dz instead!AndreaI'm high as a kiteI just mightStop and check you out.
Slowfaller 0 #15 May 8, 2002 I went on this roller coaster at Big Cheif Go Cart World. It was as fun as a roller coaster can be. I remember thinking as the coaster started going down the hill to breath and relax. Don't fight the gravity just let it take you. It was an interesting feeling. Now I think why would I want to go to an amusement park? Sure there is adrenaline but I won't know anybody I would call going to Six Flags Great America "Relitive Work".Its only in drugs or death we'll see anything new, and death is just too controlling - Chuck Palahniuk
AndyMan 7 #16 May 8, 2002 Even though I've driven a Porsche on the Authobahn at over 300 km/h, I still have fun with my little Honda.Actually, when I first started jumping I stopped street-racing my honda. That lasted about a year, then I got back into it.Adrenaline is good.... anything that feeds it is good._AmICQ: 5578907MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfeYahoo IM: ametcalf_1999
