Riggers, French Felled Seam Attachment for Sewing Machines???

Recommended Posts

Question for experienced riggers, or manufacturers for that matter....

I'm wondering if there are sewing machine attachments (double needle machine) that create a proper french felled seam with the two rows of stitches going through all 4 layers of fabric. Does anybody know if these exist? My quick Google search didn't turn up very helpful results. I've found attachments that do french seams but one of the rows of stitches only goes through 2 layers of fabric. Maybe they're called something else to the general sewing industry?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Blue ones...

Hi 710,

Get in touch with these guys:

http://www.hendersonsewing.com/

I have gotten folders from them & they are a very good company to work with.

1. Do NOT send them an email via their website. It goes to some 3rd party ( for some reason :S ) and they never get it or respond.

2. Call them on the 800 number & ask for Marty. A very nice guy and should be able to lead you through what you want.

Best of luck,

Henderson Sewing gets most of their folders from TAC; which is Tennessee Attachment Company.

Generally these people make a really good product...BUT I did have problems with the last two or three items I received from them. Hopefully they have resolved their in-house issues.

Folder #775 is probably what you are looking for or at least the style of folder that you need.

Atlanta Attachment Company (which Terry already gave a link to) is a good company also.

If you do call Henderson Sewing, ask for Bruce Moore. He will help you with what ever you need.
