Night Jumps at Perris Saturday 4/27

Recommended Posts

Jumping in for Jack here. Jack please correct me if any of this is wrong.
If this is your first time doing night jumps you need to;
Go into manifest on the day of night jumps and put your name on the list of folks interested. This ensures that there are actually enough people at the DZ that want to do it to make it worth the DZs time and effort. Night jumps have been cancelled in the past due to lack of interest.
Hold at least a B license.
Make at least one daytime jump at Perris on the day you also intend to make your night jump.
You need to attend the safety briefing. This is usually done sometime before the sunset load and lasts until after sunset, so don't plan on making the sunset load AND doing night jumps. I'm not sure what the safety briefing is costing these days, but it's not a whole lot considering you're getting instruction from some of the best on the planet -- probably Jim Wallace himself!
Absolutely NO alcohol consumption before night jumps. Ok, this sounds really obvious, but if Jim Wallace IS doing the class, he's actually going to smell your breath just to make sure!
Get yer glow-sticks and strobes on and be ready to rock!
If you've already done night jumps -- bring your logbook as documentation. Grab your glow-sticks and get the hell out of the plane!
