AggieDave....Geek or Cool?

Recommended Posts

Props to Dave on this thread. You got quite a following there bud. But I was gonna ask about the thing that almost everyone missed. Isn't the question amibiguous? I thought geek and cool were the same thing. I am pretty sure they are. I think you are confusing nerds with geeks. We are the ones that figure out how things work, so we can fix things when they break. The next time IT or your kid helps you with something that challenged you, or some little techno-goody makes your life eaiser, then think about how cool we are. Us geeks need loving too, circuity has its limits.
As for Dave, I have known him since about 13, he is definitely both.

I can't argue with that...That is one aspect I totally love about skydivers..They are all cool, understanding individuals...Doesn't matter if you are a white collar computer programmer or a plumber...you are all on the load for the same reason.
To quote someones signiture..."Skydivers...They're just plain cool!"

Replying to myself now. Dividing the 101010 into two 3 bit chunks, 101 and 010, we find that the meaning of life in octal is 52. Interesting. Divide into 4 bit chunks and we get 10 and 1010, which means that the meaning of life in hex is 2A. It's 222 in base 4. 1A in base 32. I'm stark raving mad.

It was also used in Over the Edge, which is by far one of the best teen rebellion movies ever. Please tell me someone else has seen it....
