Keith 0 #2 April 23, 2002 Hang in there! Quiting smoking isn't easy. I did it about 4 1/2 years ago. The best thing I've ever done, except for skydiving of course. Tell your old lady to lay off and if she really wanted to improve your mood she give you a nobber when you get moody instead of a cigarette Keith
freefallin14 0 #3 April 23, 2002 Hang in there Keith, I quit 35 days ago am happy I did. Haven't had a cigarette since. I was miserable at first, but it gets much better. The thing that killed me was driving. I always smoked when I drove so it kinda sucked to be in my car without a cigarette. I felt like I needed something. I used sunflower seeds for a while to help with that and it worked well. The really bad cravings will go away after a week. Just fight them off until then. And be careful when drinking! Its the biggest test for me to go to the bars here at school where everyone and their brother is smoking. Especially after you get a few beers in you. But all in all I have saved almost $100 bucks at this point and feel better. Good luck!Bret
SkydiveMonkey 0 #4 April 23, 2002 How many rocks do you need? Seriously, good luck with quitting. My Dad managed to quit after smoking 30 a day for the last 40 years - just went cold turkey and it worked. When you participate in sporting events, its not whether you win or you're loose, its how drunk you get.

Not a bad thing though as my wing loading is increasing. :)hang in there
 AndyMan 7 #9 April 24, 2002 I know what you're going through. I was out drinking tonight and didn't have a single one. Third time in row, too. I like it, because when I do something stupid, I can blame the rock. "Sorry I kicked you in the crotch. I was smoking crack. Also, the moon is full."Anyway, crack is probably better for you than the cigs. Good luck. Try the patch. I want to make sweet love to the patch. It's not a freestyle routine, it's a SIT! However, I'm very glad I did it, I'm much healthier now then I was then, that's for sure. And the $5 a day from a pack a day saved equals more jumps a weekend.
