My somewhat interesting day...

It was actually nice here in NY for a change....about 80 and partly cloudy. I sat around until 12 doing nothing, then I decided that I needed some air. Since the nearest dropzone (thats worth going to) is 4 hours away, I decided to go flying instead. So I go fly, routine flight: go do a VOR check cause its been almost 30 days, go do a few approaches into "Rottenchester", come back home and do a few landings, one real go-around (a naughty pilot crossed the hold short line while I was on short-final- thats another story >:() and then call it a day cause my safety pilot has to go. I get back around 3:00, and find out that someone is supposed to pick up the plane at 4. Cool, I'll just hang out and wait for him to show up.
So no shit, there I was- sitting in the easy chair staring out the big window, watching the planes take off and land. All of the sudden about half an hour later, out of the corner of my eye, I thought I saw a reflection of a girl off the window. Naaaaw, can't be- must be part of my daydream...but its not- she's real :o. The door opens and this totally hot U.S. Airways flight attendant walks in (in uniform and everything). I quickly jump up and make sure I hadn't drooled on myself while daydreaming, and then ask her if I can help her. I introduce myself, as does she. She wants to take lessons, and has a whole list of questions. So I go about answering them, and then she asks if I'm an instructor. Well, yes and no, I tell her. I'm a ground instructor, but not a flight instructor yet. Then she asks how to go about joining the flying club, so I give her an information packet and my name and number to use as a reference (you have to have a member refer you to get in). I considered offering her an intro. ride, since the plane's already out, but then I realize that she's a fuckin flight attendant- she's spent plenty of time around planes. We chat for a little bit (she's kinda flirty) and then she has to leave to catch a flight out of ROC. I was stoked. Too bad she's probably about 4 years older than me, and I'm sure I dont have a chance in hell- but hey, it was cool anyways! :)

Wrong attitude Buddy go for it. the worse thing that could happen is she could say no but if you don't ask you are saying no for her.
