JDBoston 0 #29 April 4, 2002 I've had lots of bush. But I think you mean Busch. Anyway, I prefer Guinness myself. To Busch, that is. Sam Smith is also good, there are a few varieties of that. The new Sam Adams Lite is actually pretty damn good too, not that I ever really drink Lite beer though. Nope.Joe
nacmacfeegle 0 #30 April 4, 2002 English people are not allowed to have favourite beers, any nation that tolerates the serving of nectar at room temperature should be banished from having an opinion on such matters.Besides, Nookie Broon does unpleasant things to my constitution, and has a serious knock on effect on the local waste treatment plants. Visualise it...CyaD
jerdahl 0 #31 April 4, 2002 My favorite is a regional beer brewed in St. Paul, Minnesota by Summit Brewing.Summit India Pale AleThe rest of their product line is also extremely good.I attached an image of their product line.

Jimbo 0 #34 April 4, 2002 QuoteWhat is the best beer availabe today?Almost anything made by the Dogfish Head brewery in Delaware. Whether it's Raison D'Etre (9%), or Immort Ale (11%), Raison D'Extra (20.5%) or World Wide Stout (22%) they're all yummy. Warning: These are BIG beers and probably aren't for everyone, but damn do I like 'em. Wanna learn more? Go hereNo, I don't work for them, I don't own stock in the company, I just think they make the best damn beer on the planet.-Jim

lummy 4 #40 April 4, 2002 There's a sports bar up here that a bunch of you would probably like. They have an assortment of 20 beers on tap at any one time and they will rotate out and get brand new ones in on a regular basis. Each has a unique number and when you have 1 , you mark it down on a card....I have like 300 or so different beers.. Some sucked some are awesome, but all differentbaby's hungry and the money's all gone. the folks back home don't want to talk on the phone.

Dumpster 0 #42 April 4, 2002 Best beer I ever had was Karlsberg, made in Homburg, Germany. Absolute beer ecstasy. If and when I ever make it back ----Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!
nacmacfeegle 0 #43 April 4, 2002 That sounds like Heffeweissen, German wheat beer, very strong, the real stuff in Germany is excellent. Actually all German beers are excellent, they are only allowed to use natural ingredients, hence minimal hangovers. Top stuff.CyaD

Dumpster 0 #49 April 5, 2002 Actually Karlsberg wasn't overly strong flavored, and didn't have the alcohol content like the bockbiers- Now if you want a strong flavored, (almost syrupy) high alcohol German beer, go to the country, find yourself in a town called Zweibrucken, and get some Perminater - We nicknamed it Terminater - It will put your dick in the dirt!Life begins at 14,000' - Shut up and jump!
