How and what to make for dinner!!

Recommended Posts

Well Here I am at home for the evening on Wednesday. I now look forward to it a little more than usual since now I am able to get some posting done while I watch TV and talk on the phone. But right now I am making POrk Chops and Beef flovored rice. [ How can you tell I am not a vergitarian ]. Anyways are there any good cooks or chefs here on DZ.com to maybe pitch some recepies my way?
I cook every night and just recently started to run out of ideas on what to make for myself. I can pretty much make anything without a lot of trouble,so if you let me know what you like to eat and how to make it I would appreciate the full stomach and the grub.
Thank You.

Are you serious? Well, here goes.....
Garlic Chicken (4)
1/2 cup butter
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
juice from l lemon
1/3 cup bread crumbs
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
4 chicken breast halves without skin, boneless
Combine butter, garlic, worcestershire and lemon juice in small saucepan and heat over low heat until butter is melted. Combine crumbs and cheese, dip each piece of chicken in butter and then crumb mixture. Put in oven proof dish, pouring any remaining butter mixture over chicken and bake, covered at 350 for 30 min. Uncover and continue baking until done, about 20 more minutes.

Sounds like my lemon chikcen Recipie. In fact it is the same as the lemon chicken only I marinate it before I cook. When it comes time to actually do the cooking I wrap it up in tin foil and place it in the pan on on the Q. This is the trick my friend so listen closely. Add all the ingredients before you wrap up your chicken breast/steak/ pork chops or whatever and on med high. MED HIGH. The juices stay in internally and the ingredients from the outside saturate thier way to the inside during the process.

I'm going to bring my BBQ to the DZ this year.
And no quade this is not an acronym for Big Boobie Questions, sorry.

That is pretty much all that is involved in making chilli. You should try it. I don't have a recipie book infront of me but here is what I use
5>Garlic cloves
2 tbs> Melinda's XXXX hot sauce
2 Lbs> Ground Beef
1/4 Green Pepper
1/8 cup>Habanero pepper seeds
1/8 cup>Jalepeno pepper seeds
1/4 cup>Onions
Tex mex sauce
Chilli powder
Add the last 2 items as desired. Careful though the tex mex sauce and chilli powder I'm told can be EXTREMLY HOT at times or if you are feeding it to people that are to custom to spicey foods.

Do you find that when you cook with tabasco that it takes over the taste of whatever else it shares the pan with? Maybe it is just me but I usually add the sauce at the end rather than mixing it in. Does any one else ever do this too?

I just finished making some shake and bake cajun pork chops with some beef flavored rice. Mmmm. If you hurry home you can microwave it and scarf it down. Oh wait you're probably going to be stuck there for a while, forget I mentioned it someone will pick you up a happy meal from Mc Donalds before your off.:D
I'm just kidding

for somethign quick, salmon is good just cut into filets with a butter & tarragon seasoning. for about 5 servings 1 stick of butter is enough usually. also for a thicker slice of salmon it's easy to split it in teh middle 3/4 of the way through, throw some crab imperial or plain crab meat in there and put in the oven. both cook in about 30 minutes. throw a loaf of garlic bread and baked potatoes in the oven all at the same time and in 30 minutes out comes dinner. =c)

MMM I have some cupons for Red Lobster. I wonder if I could convince them to deliver a platter of tiger shrip to my apartment. Oh never mention seafood around this portuguese man.

That sounds nummy Jan! I'll have to try that.
(Fungus haters, don't read any further! :)My favourite recipe for supper-in-a-flash is porkchops with mushroom gravy.
Fast fry the porkchops in olive oil with your favourite seasoning (garlic of course!), so that they brown up good.
Add a 1/4 cup chopped onions, lots of chopped fresh mushrooms, a can of mushroom soup, and half a can of milk.
Seperately either fry hashbrowns or boil rice.
Let the soup form a nice brown gravy. Serve over the rice/hashbrowns.
Either that, or the philly beef dip at the pub across town...
all we are is dust on the wind...
