Iflyme 0 #1 March 16, 2002 So I had been looking foward to getting a couple of jumps in today - but when I got up and looked outside -- it's snowing like crazy!!! This is not good... I won't even be able to take my kids to their last soccer games of the season. I guess we'll have to go tobogganing instead. What's your weather like today?"Men weren't meant to rideWith clouds between their knees"Five For Fighting

BikerBabe 0 #4 March 16, 2002 Me either. We were planning on having a fun accuracy "meet" (the only plane we could scrounge this weekend has no door, any higher than 3,500 and we'd freeze), but the winds are screaming out over the mesa. It's a beautiful day, too! What a waste.

NathanL100 0 #6 March 16, 2002 Partly cloudy here in Northern California, but its freezing down here on the ground I can't imagine what its like at altitude. Just keep your mind open and suck in the experience. And if it hurts, you know what? It's probably worth it
Cornholio 0 #7 March 16, 2002 yeah, I'm pretty bummed out about the weather too.I just called my dz and checked the weather - winds gusting to 17MPH and getting stronger. I was planning on doing my AFF L4 and maybe L5 today! Oh well, hoefully next weekend. I still have snowboarding to look forward to tomorrow!! Weather can't impact that too much. LittleJumper 0 #10 March 16, 2002 Hey Matt, where do you jump at? Davis is supposed to be partly cloudy with showers & high winds. I was hoping to get up there to jump my first pack job, but looks like I'll have to wait til next weekend. What you "think" you cannot do ...you CAN if you "think" about it
Spy38W 0 #11 March 16, 2002 Weather is beautiful here today, I took a day off skydiving to help a friend of mine who was supposed to fly a banner today. Even worse, I spent ~4 hours assembling the banner, and less than 15 seconds after he picked it up he had to cut it away because it broke (not my fault), so essentially I missed a day of skydiving and have nothing to show for it (except the money). Then a jump buddy called and asked if I could take her parents flying tomorrow Oh well. /Your ad Here\

Even though I probably cannot jump today, I am thinking of heading up there this afternoon just to learn how to pack and hang out. Been checking the automated weather system at Byron airport all morning. Still too windy to jump....10:30 12knots/15 gusts11:30 11knots/15 gusts12:00 9 knots/ 20 gusts12:25 12knots / 17 gustsFAAAAWWWK!!!! I wannna wannna wannna wannna wannna wannna jump!!!!!! PhillyKev 0 #18 March 16, 2002 Yeah, I'm never going to get to jump my new gear. I've had it two weeks and been weathered out. It cleared up for a bit today but the winds were kicking. And tomorrow it's supposed to be cold and windy and might even snow. Grrrr, I hate spring....gimme nice hot, humid, sunny summer. cielos azules y cerveza fría-Kevin

Iflyme 0 #24 March 17, 2002 Well Whatdya know! Late afgternoon, the clouds parted enough for us to get one load up! And lucky me -- I was on it! Nice little 4 way freefly with all of us opening too damn close! Of course the winds outta the north were so strong that after I turned onto final, I had almost no penetration, and landed in the mud about 2 metres from the grass... oh well, I looked good in the video, and that is all that really matters!"Men weren't meant to rideWith clouds between their knees"Five For Fighting
