crazymel 0 #3 March 12, 2002 This is fast becoming my home dz too....spend ALOT of time on this site..... I was just thinking this week - the dz where I jump now is great and all, but it has no vibe, no life (considering it is in the Middle East with NO alcohol - I guess it's not too bad). But when I think home dz - I think Namibia - where I did my AFF training. That place has LIFE and they adopted me as part of their family right away. I made the best friends ever, and still chat to them every day to find out who did what jump and what weird shit happened the night before at the party etc.... I won't stop jumping because the dz here has no "life" - but I miss my home dz soooooooooooooo much!!!

Skystorm 0 #8 March 12, 2002 Mel, When did you do your AFF? And at what DZ? It may be that we know a lot of the same people My home is in the north of Namibia. Plenty of landing area, for the more adventurous a lot of thorn bushes and hangers. LOL. Perfect weather most of the time, except for a few days in the rainy season.Hang onto Heaven, when hell is on your back

skydiver51 0 #11 March 12, 2002 My home DZ is Skydive Tulsa. It's in the north eastern part of Oklahoma. It's a private air strip and we have one cessna. A real laid back place and good people all the time.Idiocy = Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
skybytch 273 #12 March 12, 2002 Perris is home now, but I'll always think of Skydive Paso Robles and the group that I jumped and partied with there in 1990-1993 as my "true" home... Steve, Steve, Al, Gregg, Tom, Bill, Steph, Jeff, Jani, Tina, Karen, Bengt, Jakey, Bonz, Clay, Mike, Paul, Laura, Claire, Scott, Shelly, Debbie, Little Bob, Littlebear...pull and flare,lisa--I'll be in the bar... you'll find me... ChromeBoy 0 #13 March 12, 2002 I am homeless. I travel around from hotel to hotel, city to city, dz to dz. That is the great thing about dropzones, everyone is cool and ready to jump and party when the beer light comes on. I have not been to a dz where I did not feel welcome and part of the crowd.Kachink,ChromeBoy-Mirage G3 Unisyn-
homer 0 #14 March 12, 2002 My home is where I hang my jumpsuit. At the moment it's hanging at DZ.com. It will probably hang there till the weekend when I'm at my other DZ. Vista Skydiving inc. is where you can find me on the weekends, where there is always room for one more jumper. Bite Me

lippy 918 #17 March 12, 2002 My home DZ is the Skydive Ranch in Beiseker, Alberta. But since they've been closed all winter, this place is kind of becoming home. Luckily I found an awsome DZ that's open in the winter, so I'll abide there on weekends I can get out of town, at least till the Ranch opens. It's not a real sport unless you can die from massive internal trauma
skydiventom 0 #18 March 12, 2002 My home dropzone is Skydive Elsinore in California. They put up with me there. I have to admit I do miss the Parachute Center in Lodi, California. I'll drive up a couple times this year to spend the weekend.Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much

canopycudler 0 #20 March 12, 2002 My Home DZ is Archway Skydiving in Vandalia IL.. also the home of a few other DZ.comers on here! I gotta tell ya.. I started at Archway on June 16, 2001 and from the minute I walked in the door, I fell in love with those people. EVERYONE is extremely helpful. I did AFF in just 1.5 months and I never had to worry about about having someone to jump with, even right of student status! AFF instructor is the USPA regional director, DZO is awsome is there at all times for any assistance. Rigger and wife (gear person) have assisted me with last minute DELIMAS all the time!! Like stayin till wee hours of the eveing to pack repack my reserve and assemble my new container so i could take it to a boogie (yeah wooo hooo) and going through about a million questions on gear before i committed and purchased. What else can i say.. all the JM's are the BEST & after the sunset load.. ahhhhh.. bonfires till sunrise..Here's to "us" the new generation of skydivers and cheers to all the new students this summer will bring!! I could not have ever found a better place to call home.Busses here don't work. I am an asshole. ...Tina
