My wife and I are expecting our first in July. Kinda exciting and scary at the same time, but it was planned and we are actually ready.

I hear ya. My first (beer) is due next month. Doh!
We planned it, but I don't think anyone can every be "ready" to be a parent. You just deal with what you get dealt for the next 20 years or so. :)Justin

You have a son Clay? Wow...didn't realize that.
{pssst..guys, we're too late..he already bred!} :)

Clay, keep the child away from the keyboard!
I'd hate to imagine another Fowler running around posting all over the Internet....
[kid voice]"Look Daddy, I have as many posts as you do."[/kid voice]
[Clay]"Well, that is swell, son. But your posts have too many words. Cut back some."[/Clay]
[kid voice]"But Daddy, all I said was that cloned sheep weren't as good as natural ones."[/kid voice]
[Clay]"That is true, but use less words to say it, so you can get more posts out of it."[/Clay]
[kid voice]"Okay, Daddy. Oh yeah, Boobies!"[/kid voice]
[Clay]"That's m' boy!"[/Clay]

Oh, the horror. :D

I have a 10 year old that has been hanging out at Drop Zones all over the country for most of her life. She loves it. She gets really pissed when we go to Perris without her.
She had a hard time when she started school understanding why none of the other kids' parents jumped out of airplanes. She thought all adults did it. She kept asking the other kids how many jumps there mom and dad had. Of course they had no idea what she was talking about.
All her friends think it's really cool but she is pretty laid back about it. When we take her friends of whuffo parents to the DZ with us, they of course are facinated and amazed by watching all the parachutes and our daughter is just like "Yea, I know. I've seen the parachutes in the air a million times. It's no big deal! Let's go play something.".
She kind of flip-flops on whether she ever wants to jump or not. One year she says she can't wait to be able to jump and the next year she says she doesn't want to. Of course, it's entirely up to her when the time comes.

Huh....What....Oh sorry did you say something? I wasn't paying attention....

This is why i don't believe in giving a man the silent treatment.. They don't notice it....they just think of it as a reward that i'm being quiet.

Hey Hooked,
No kids of my own...yet.:( But I do have 17 nieces and nephews and they all think I am cool and love my tandem videos. Most of them said to me, "I can't wait till I am 18 to skydive with Uncle Chris!"
P.S. I can't wait either!!! :)Skydivers...they're just plain cool!

When I started this thread, I didn't think everyone would post pics of the kids. It has been fun seeing all the adorable children everyone (well not everyone has children) has! So I thought I would post a pic of my son and I before we jumped last summer! My other son, well, he doesn't think this is a very safe sport!
