It was an epic weekend. So clear and sunny here in Monterey. Not a lot of students on Sat. so I was able to do a couple of fun jumps and on Sunday I did 11 AFF jumps. Friken nuts. The winds were light and the surf was up baby!
Lookin forward to this weekend in Perris...........
I got spring fever.........I can't come in today.....B|.........

Those darn Skydive U people hogged up the planes all day! But, I did 3 awesome freefly jumps, and am having a great time with the surf I get on the Sabre 2-it rocks! I landed where the big boys land for the first time all day on Sun. That's not a beer offense, is it?

My brother turned 26 and had a birthday party at a bar close to his house that I somehow snuck into. $30 all you can drink between 8pm-11pm:o This is one of the best deals I've ever heard of. I had a great time at the birthday party but was too hung over to jump on Saturday so I went Sunday.
My girlfriend and I went to SDC on Sunday and she did her first Tandem from 17,000ft.:D:D I was on the load w/ her and did a solo. A mixture of sit/stand and back flying. The winds were really high and I landed backwards and got my new gear all dirty:S but was only scratched up a little. So I didn't have that bad of a weekend, I'm a little upset at myself for misjudging the winds and jumping.
I'll go to college; learn some big words; I'll talk real loud god damn right I'll be heard.

I jumped at Byron on Sunday. Two more jumps, now I'm up to 21. Still working on forward sumersaults, and I had a near perfect stand up lnaidng on my first jump (with 8 mph winds) and tried to run the second one out with no winds but couldn't quite make it. Still getting used to my spectre 230 after student rigs. All in all a great weekend. and I saw Lord of the rings on Saturday for a second time.

So there were two other cars on the road. No big deal... :D

P.S. I loved living in a small town for 18 years, but living somewhere a little bigger for 2 years has been enough to prove to me that I don't want to go back... :P

Made five jumps on Saturday - four fun ones with Otay people, one recurrency with Leslie, who's been out of the sport for six months as her leg healed up. After a while you can tell how someone's going to do after five seconds of freefall, and she was perfect out the door (well, after doing a ready-set-wait-ready-go count.) All I had to do was hang out and watch her do turns, fall rate and forward motion practice, and of course we had to get in a kiss pass at the end.
The RW went OK. We had two really good ones, one so-so one, and one nine-way that was doomed from the start - we discovered we had 25 people on the plane, so Keith got off, thus making us an instant 8-way. Then Dean, who had been doing really well until then, went permanently low, so we finished the day with a sort of messy round.
On Sunday I had a sad job to do - I spent the day searching the desert for Danielle, a friend's daughter who had been kidnapped. We didn't find her, and after three weeks, it's not looking promising.

Managed to scare the s*** out of myself Saturday.....did two hop-n-pops at Raeford.....wore gloves on the first one and fumbled for my handle, so I took them off. The second jump I fumbled for it AGAIN, and when I threw out I went head down and rolled over a little, so when the bag deployed it went out between my legs and the lines wrapped around my left ankle, and the slider stayed up. Scary ! So I'm hanging upside down, low to begin with, and trying to get loose so I can either ride it down or cutaway.....finally get untangled and upright, and had to kick out of line twists to boot.
Luckily, nothing hurt but my pride.
On a happy note, ever since I bought Aviatrr's Hornet, I've sttod up 9 in a row ! The PLFKing may be dead and gone.....

Don....that shit sounds scary....be a little more careful would ya! We got to save someones life in 2000 that had a skydive which started out exactly as you describe. His ended with a main reserve entanglement and subsequent landing in power lines across the road in that neighborhood. Stick around and congrats on the stand ups!
