lippy 918 #1 February 22, 2002 Anybody watch the cartoon 'King of the Hill'. Last night I was reading program descriptions, and it said that Hank and Peggy hill were going skydiving, so I flicked it on. I don't know if its a season finale or what, but Peggy had dual total mals and burned in. WTF was that all about?!Live to Jump, Pull to Live,Lippy
MarkM 0 #2 February 22, 2002 Hopefully it means they're about to cancel the show, it's a waste of a time slot.Of course this is the same network that decided to cancel Futurama and Family Guy, so I doubt it.
bbarnhouse 0 #3 February 22, 2002 This is the same station that says "curling" is a sport but skydiving isn't?It only takes a little pixie dust......
kingbunky 3 #4 February 22, 2002 i think it's a repeat... seems to me she was in a chair for awhile at the beginning of the season... not that i watch it or anything... hey, come on, it was on between futurama and the simpsons... GrumpySmurf 0 #5 February 22, 2002 Yeah it's kind of blah - though nothing close to this thing called, "SpaceGhost from Coast to Coast" - where the f*ck they came up with this idea!? It must have involved a serious amount of crack cut with bleach to dream it up - cuz it sucked so bad, it imploded. Now Family Guy, that show just cracked me up, especially Baby Stewey. And then there's the Power Puff girls - best seen absolutely plastered out of your mind.
AggieDave 6 #6 February 22, 2002 God, Family Guy and the Simpsons...what else do you need TV for...well, maybe for some reruns of the old Who's Line Is It Anyways...but that's about it."I'll take Famous Titties for 400..."
MarkM 0 #7 February 22, 2002 Try Invader Zim sometime. That show's hilarious.
kmcguffee 0 #8 February 22, 2002 Actually, the best on is Kung Fu Jack on the Cartoon Channel. That's quality TV!!
 indyz 1 #9 February 22, 2002 Invader Zim got cancelled. Those bastards. It's also looking like Futurama is done. Fox hasn't ordered any episodes beyind what is already in production (just enough to carry the show through the fall). Family Guy is also on the rocks, but it has been in trouble before and always pulled through ok.--BrianHomepageAIM: suprmath
 Jumperpaula 0 #10 February 22, 2002 Quote Anybody watch the cartoon 'King of the Hill'. When it originally aired, I struggled with myself ALOT over letting the kids watch this episode or not. They hyped it up sooo much, at it was a part of the kid's Sunday Night routine to watch that show. As a Skydiver, I wanted them to feel 'OK' with my jumping and wasn't sure if watching one of their favorite cartoon characters BURN IN was a good idea or not. Especially since it was a season finale and you had to wait all summer to see if she lived. I thought the damage had been done, by the Hype - I am very very glad I let them watch. They had a lot of good questions for me about parachute accidents and I think they felt "better" about Mommy's Skydiving. I still wrote the network though. Now, every time the Road Runner beeps Coyote off a cliff, they yell "Pull! Pull!" Fly Your Slot ! In one episode Peggy was embarrassed because she wears a size 16 shoe. She was approached by a guy who convinced her she had pretty feet and there were people who appreciate large female feet. He talked her into doing movies where she would squish stuff like mud, Jell-O and other stuff between her toes until she found out that she was actually doing foot fetish porno. Keith
 GrumpySmurf 0 #23 February 23, 2002 I actually liked the live version - pretty gutsy on Fox's part to take a Dark Horse creation and toss it on prime time tv. After they axed Space: Above and Beyond - it was appearant Fox didn't have a clue what good programming was (yet they elected to run X-Files into the ground, long after they should have let it die).
 GrumpySmurf 0 #24 February 23, 2002 I said it! *raises hand*Found it rather odd, not odd in a British Comedy way though (which in fact is quite good) - just really odd - was killing time to see what kind of anime flick might be on afterwards - sadly, it wasn't the Ninja Scrolls (or anything else that involved serious amounts of boobs and blood - the mark of a good anime), so I just went to sleep thinking, "That's an hour I'll never get back."
 FallingMarc 0 #25 February 23, 2002 Yeah, they never show *good* anime on the cartoon channel. Although I do get a kick out of Cowboy Bebop, which is on a little after Space Ghost. It's the only one they show that's not totally geared towards 10 year olds.
