scottbre 0 #26 February 20, 2002 QuoteAs soon as I can find someone competent to draw itThis is very unlikely. Most people who claim to be able to draw Calvin, do a sad job. Get some of the books and find a picture of him in the ideal body posture. Trust me, Watterson drew him in pretty much every pose imaginable, it's just a question of finding the right one. Of course if you would settle for one of those stupid "bastard Calvins" like you see peeing on all sorts of symbols, then any old hack can draw those. But why would you want something like that on your body? "Let the rabbits wear glasses. . . "
PhillyKev 0 #27 February 20, 2002 I'm doing the USPA symbol too, but replacing the shield with a Grateful Dead Steal Your Face. Gonna put it on my calf. Been planning it for awhile, just haven't gotten around to doing it. Hmmm, maybe I'll go tonight.cielos azules y cerveza fría-Kevin
Jessica 0 #28 February 20, 2002 QuoteAs soon as I can find someone competent to draw it I want Calvin & Hobbes freeflying (doing a mind-meld) or doing CReW on the outside of my calf.Just the other day I was musing on a tattoo of Hobbes under canopy. Or maybe Opus.
scottbre 0 #29 February 20, 2002 QuoteJust the other day I was musing on a tattoo of Hobbes under canopy. Not completely sure about this, but I think there is a Calvin and Hobbes strip where Calvin tries to parachute off of his roof with a bed sheet. That would be a cool tattoo without having to change anything. "Let the rabbits wear glasses. . . "

That would be a cool tattoo without having to change anything. That would be pretty sweet. If anyone knows which collection it's in, pipe up!Although I would feel vaguely guilty since Bill Watterson was adamant about Calvin's mug not appearing anywhere but in the strip. But oh well. Principles can go too far!

scottbre 0 #32 February 20, 2002 I hate "The Man" for what he did to Bill Watterson. Watterson was one of the coolest comic strip artist ever, in my opinion, and the only reason he quit is because he was sick of dealing with all the stupid beauracracy(sp? Great now Jessica will never leave me alone ) that went with it.Damn the man!!"Let the rabbits wear glasses. . . "

My first tattoo, I drew myself and they carbon-copied it and put it on my lower back (surf-flower hibiscus.) My second tat I got a little crescent moon w/ 2 little stars b/c my best friend wouldn't get one unless I did so I got that because I knew I could add on to it later. For Christmas, BZ got me a gift certificate to a tattoo parlor so I could finish it because I've been saying I wanted to forever. So, the finished product is a full circle, half is the moon I already had and the other half is a sun. Then coming from behind the sun/moon there is a set of wings, kinda holding on to the sun/moon. For me, it represents skydiving b/c the moon and the sun represent the sky and then the wings represent flying. I REALLY love it and I designed it myself. You should definitely go for a skydiving tat. Tattoos are so addictive. I want a third one now on my ankle. (The sun/moon with wings is kinda low on the inner side of my hipbone, and my hibiscus is on my lower back.)BZ wants to get one. He doesn't have any but personally, I find tattoos VERY SEXY!I hope to see you soon when you come back to Deland.Much love and blue skies,Carrie http://www.geocities.com/skydivegrl20/
 jtval 0 #50 February 23, 2002 hey carrie, sounds like a cool tat.i never actually fininshed mine. skydiving made me gladly put it on hold but i'm thinkning of redoing it also(and getting the one i posted origianlly).it'll take some thought though,so im shit outta luck. i have an idea but it will take soem $$ so ,again, im shit outta luck. see you in deland...getting high is fun, but coming down is the best partJT
 Prev 1 2 Next Page 2 of 2 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
