Jabeln79 0 #1 February 21, 2002 Just an observation ive noticed it is now harder for a minor to buy cigarettes than it is for them to buy liquor. At a gas station a block away from my house ive noticed the clerk carding nearly everyone for cigerettes whether they look 16 or 30, Yet the same clerk will sell beer to anyone that can see over the counter and not even ask for an I.d. Ive noticed this at several other places as well. Anyone else notice this. Blue Skies Joe "When they say jump you say how high" RATM
Slowfaller 0 #2 February 21, 2002 There is this gas station by my house and a long time ago I bought cigeretts there and my friend who was in line behind be was just buying a water. She asked for both mine and my friends ID. It was the funniest shit because he doesn't have an ID and was yelling at this women that he shouldn't be carded for a water. We can buy 40oz anytime there Nothing like a $1.50 King Cobra to make you obnoxious.I'll go to college; learn some big words; I'll talk real loud god damn right I'll be heard. Keith 0 #4 February 21, 2002 Here in San Diego you can expect to show ID for beer and/or smokes even if you have grey hair and look 90. Too many people have been busted too many times and card everyone. I was behind a guy, who appeared to be in his late 50's, in line at a 7/11 who wanted to buy smokes with out an ID. The clerk refused to sell to him. He was pissed with a capital "P." Keith
Sebazz1 2 #5 February 21, 2002 Especially in California. You will get carded because the fines are big. In palo Alto the police have kids that look liek thirty cruise aroung from store to store or restaurants trying to get cigs and booze. Store and restaurant owner shave wisened up.But yes I have recently been carded more for cigs than booze?I think the cigs are worse for you............I got spring fever.........I can't come in today..............Seb

MarkM 0 #7 February 21, 2002 The sad thing is that it's probably easier for kids to get drugs than it is to get cigs or booze.

PLFXpert 0 #9 February 21, 2002 QuoteI was recently carded for cigs and beer.... I'm 36....Nice! It's the opposite for me....since I turned 21, no-one has carded me when I order drinks at the bar. Beforehand, I always had to be sneaky, otherwise, I ALWAYS got carded. Now, I never do. Frankly, it annoys me.Much love and blue skies,Carrie http://www.geocities.com/skydivegrl20/
