Plane Anxiety? Looong

Recommended Posts

Pilot lessons would probably work great. Since the weather is generally crappy this time of year, see if you can spend some dedicated time talking with your jump pilots. Besides, they know more about the FARs than most skydivers and can probably address your concerns.

ducky,
i remeber ya talking to me about this at the boogie.(yey i wasn't drunk then) i sorta am a little scared of this myself until we reach 1000ft and then i know we can bail out if need be.... they say the most dangerous times to be in a plane are take off and landing...since ya skydive ya already take one of those out of the picture.....don't worry it will go with time.......
did anyone notice clay gave another serious answer here...i think he might be geting sick or something.....

28% of all accidents occur during takeoff
32% occur during landings
40% occur enroute
By skydiving you have increased your odds by limiting yourself to the 28% of accidents on landing. Just remember that flying is safer than driving. You are more likely to get killed on your way to the DZ than on the plane ride to altitude.

I'm sure it will pass with time... I'm just happy to see i am not a rare case with my worries.

Mullins likes to do this. He calls it a seatbelt test. He gives warning. It's fun.

No sh*t it was mullins King Air I rode for my first 5 jumps!!!!
My brother took an observer ride on my level 3. He looked like he might has well have jumped when I saw him on the ground. Mullin's decent is pretty freaking wild from what I have seen/heard.
