leapdog 0 #1 May 4, 2014 Can anyone tell me what amount of weight you need to tension dacron line when measuring for a line set. Quagmirian 40 #2 May 4, 2014 Manufacturers differ in the tension for measurements. PD states 5 lbs, while Aerodyne asks for 10 on their reserve. I'm sure I've somewhere that requires 30 lbs.
riggerrob 643 #3 May 8, 2014 Tensile standards vary from one manufacturer to the next. The key thing is applying the same tension to all lines. One Master Rigger used to use "one circular saw" hanging off the end of the table to tension lines while he marked and cut them.
SkymonkeyONE 4 #4 May 9, 2014 Did it weigh thirty pounds and did he let it dangle for 30 seconds?
