Where can one find an old round canopy?

Hi all,

I have a coworker who is looking for an old, next to no cost, large round canopy for her upcoming wedding to hang from the ceiling. Neutral solid colors only.

Does anyone know if this is something she'll be able to find? Where should she look?

Thanks for the reply. :) All the military ones we can find are, what I refer to as, "turkey turd green". Not really a color she's interested in.

I'm not sure she'll even find what she's looking for, but I knew if anyone would know, they'd be on this forum. haha

Good point. All the properly de-milled canopies are bleached and re-dyed lavender before they're released to the market.

P.M. me- I have two if I can find them- both orange and white- one cut and 'de-lined' ( lines removed from inside the nylon); and one never cut or jumped. Can't vouch for the condition of either right off hand, both have been stored for over 30 years. You're welcome to them if I can locate, should know within 2 days. when's the wedding?

eBay! Just search parachute. Tons of surplus and lots of diff colors.

I was that kid jumping out if his tree house with a bed sheet. My dad wouldn't let me use the ladder to try the roof...
