It seems most of the TMs I know are big guys. Is it difficult to do a tandem with a student who is a lot bigger or taller than you are?I'm 5'9" 150 lbs, and a long way from ever being a tandem master but I'm just curious. I did limit myself to passengers 6' or less and 200 pounds or less. Much over 6' and it became difficult for me to control the freefall, over 200 pounds was just too much freakin' work!Didn't get me any chicks (and I must add, ethically an instructor should wait until the student is either off student status or has quit the sport before pouncing). It's called the look of fear Lisa is right size is not an issue as long as you limit yourself to what your capabilities are.........My biggest tandem ever was a guy that weiged 305. Only went to 7,000' and pulled 5 seconds out the door so we never got to terminal. If they are, it's not significantly tougher. DD Bartley used to do tandems - she used to refer to herself as AADD because all she could really make sure of on the tandem was that the drouge got launched and the ripcord got pulled. She's a pretty small woman.I've only had a few that I really had trouble with. I thought the worst students were short fat women.
