Heathrow is a really nice area, as are areas of Orange City (there's a brand new golf course/housing development going in right off I-4 south of DeLand). If you're commuting to Orlando though, the I-4 rush hour (or anytime for that matter) suxs.

Lake Mary is still good, and so is certain parts of Sanford. I won't live any closer to Orlando than that, because the traffic just gets too bad. A lot of people like living across the river in DeBary and Deltona, and it is more affordable, but there is a traffic hardache there in the evenings too. Wherever you live near I-4, just make sure you're not going West in the mornings and East in the afternooons.

"it can't be worse than my commute down 75 in atlanta that i face now"
I feel your pain!! I live off 575 and commute to the NE side of Atl near Tucker every day. It usually only takes me about 45 minutes when I leave at 745 AM though.
