Gravitymaster 0 #1 January 30, 2002 I will be in Houston the first weekend in April and am considering which DZ to visit. I will only be able to jump on a Thursday and Friday so thats a factor in where I go. Can anyone make a suggestion/comment on the two DZs there?Blu 11111s
AggieDave 6 #2 January 30, 2002 Honestly, they are both great! I've jumped at both and love them. Although i'm not sure about their weekly jumping, you may want to drop them e-mails or go by their websites (www.skydivespaceland.com www.skydivehouston.com). Either one you go to, you'll find a good group of dz.commers and if you come to Waller, you'll probably find the Aggies too. Zennie 0 #3 January 30, 2002 Can't tell you what Waller's mid-week schedule is like, but Spaceland generally gets at least one Otter load up daily. On Friday afternoons a lot of folks skip out early and go jump so you could probably get in a couple Otter jumps then."Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense." Jumperpaula 0 #4 January 30, 2002 What part of town you staying in? Skydive Houston in Waller is way north of Houston. Skydive Spaceland in Rosharon is way south. They are both first class Otter Dropzones. Sometimes we can even have totally opposite weather at both (imagine that, Texas weather). Whatever your discipline, you will find plenty of people to jump with at either. Remind us when your coming so some DZ.commer can help you feel welcome. Fly Your Slot ! Trent 0 #8 January 30, 2002 If you're here on the 5th -7th, definitely come to Spaceland. We'll be having our annual freefly festival. Freefliers get coaching and organizing from Max Cohn of Generation Freefly and belly folks will get skills from Jack Burke of Deguello. It'll be a busy weekend out here. Gravitymaster 0 #9 January 30, 2002 Thank you, I appreciate the invitation and information. Not sure where we are staying yet as this is a family reunion/wedding on Saturday and Sunday. We thought we would come a few days early and get a couple of jumps in. I didn't realize the distance between the 2 was so great. I will find out exactly where the event is and see if that makes any difference.Bob
