Skyrose7 0 #7 January 28, 2002 I spent all the money I had left over from student loans. skymama 37 #9 January 28, 2002 Well, just do the math, because I refuse to add up all that I have spent! Start with your jump tickets, that's pretty easy to add up. And, once you get all your equipment, it's not too bad, but you'll probably want a:rig altimeterhelmetjumpsuitgoggleslogbookbut, then, once you have that, and jump awhile, you'll want more stuff like a:different helmet for different flyingdifferent jumpsuit for different flyinggear bagaudible altimeterand then after you get all that, you'll want to go to boogies, so add up travel expenses. Of course, there's always the beer offense expenses, and you better buy it when you're supposed to! Then, after a few hundred jumps, you might want to try camera flying, or downsizing your rig, or becoming an instructor....the list is never ending! Zennie 0 #11 January 28, 2002 I'm with mountainman. I prolly spend around $300-350/month on jumps. Then you throw in equipment, repacks, beer, coaching, videos, etc etc and it adds up to "a lot". PhreeZone 20 #19 January 28, 2002 Actually, becoming a Crack addict is WAY cheaper then becoming a skydiver. 300-350 in Crack will last you for at least a week or 2, I'll blow 300 in a weekend jumping if I don't watch it.Last year was cheap.... $6500 I want to touch the sky, I want to fly so high ~ Sonique

ADRNALN 0 #21 January 28, 2002 Not that it has to cost you everything you own, but, chances are it will. I am starting to look at what furniture I really need and how much is it worth (couch=4 jumps).
