I am new on this forum thing, but I am skydive lonely. Living in Michigan, and too young in skydiving to go elsewhere...until spring break. Anyone know the best way to convince two whuffo friends to drive two hours away from New Orleans to catch at least one jump? I am dyin' here.

I finally convinced my roommate to go to the Mardi Gras boogie with me for the majority of the time; we're just going to hit New Orleans for a couple of hours Friday night. She was a little worried about not having anybody to talk to while I'm skydiving, but she's short and cute and looks like she's 12, so I'm sure there'll be plenty of men willing to talk to her.
What really worked in convincing her, though, was getting her to commit to that tandem that she's always wanted to do. She's a senior in college, she'll be at the crazy Mardi Gras party scene, she'll be along the Gulf Coast, and she'll be getting a ball and chain soon once she gets married. I can't think of a better atmosphere to have a first jump in. I'm glad she's going; now I don't have to drive 14 hrs by myself!

hey val do you need a guide that fri i live about a mile from the french quarter and i know the places to go and plan on spending more than a few hrs (this town can be confusing its it good to know a local)pm me if you are intrested

One of the girls would def go, but the other would crap her pants before she jumped ( unfortunately, she's driving). Regardless, I shall do my best. Oh, I am from Grand Rapids. As far as lowell goes, I think I just passed through it...no offense. :)

I think I am going to go with the tandem angle. It is my best chance. We aren't (unfortunately) going to be in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. We are going --i think--the week after. That sucks, but I'm sure it will still be a blast.

Same with my dz (probably most, actually.) It only took two years of taking her to the dz, my yapping on about skydiving, showing her the videos and pictures to finally convince her.
