After getting my new cypress installed, I told my roommate that I was going to go pick up my rig. He responded with: "So, are you going to test it to make sure it works"
After I finished laughing, I just looked at him. All I could come up with (besides are you f###g crazy) was: "Are you going to test the airbag in the next car you buy"
They are always good for a laugh when your day isn't going so well.
If you're not having fun, what's the point

went over to emerald coast skydiving yeterday...hd my jumpsuit, alti, goggles an rig on waiting for the boarding call, this guy i had been talking to that did a tandem earlier that day comes up to me and asks me if i'm gona do a tandem...i just turned to the side so he could see the profile of my rig and said "what do you think?"..he looks at me and is like " wow, you have your own parachute"...............somebody sure felt stupid there...and it wasn't me......

Last fall I too had my jumpsuit, altimeter and rig on, with my goggles hanging around my neck and my helmet hanging from my cheststrap. I was just lying back, waiting for the boarding call when some lady walked up to me and started "So, he's jumping on his own, isn't he?"
Me: "Yep"
She (pointing at my alti) "Is that an altimeter?"
Me: "Yes it is" (trying to keep it brief)
She: "So that thing tells you when to pull the string, eh?"
Me: "Sort of, yes"
I didn't bother to tell her we stopped pulling strings (not in that sense, anyway) long ago.

Anyone else see the guy doing a tandem on MTV the other day? His comment "I'm really nervous, because I'm going to be jumping from an airplane at 1300 ft." Then again, I'd also be pretty nervous if I had to exit the plane at 1300 ft.
