well gee, beaver...you know, who cares if the cops get a % anyway, because some of us don't travel with ...what is the best word for it, in the U.S..."contraband."
I was a law-breaking (among MANY other adjectives I can think of!! hehe) youth...but I am a little more settled these days. You know, its funny...I still like to PARTY DOWN but I am more reluctant in certain situations these days, such as traveling. I once got a big 'ol chamber pipe through security at Orlando's airport, pot on me, and all kinds of lids, screens, chambers, and so forth stashed in various places. (NOTE TO ALL POLICE NAZI TYPES: if you are wanting to bust me good luck that was 8 years ago, and if you are a skydiver and give a shit about pot smoking you need to get a brain transplant.) These days, though, I just figure, hell, its a boogie! There will be people there with some stash!! (i.e., people who DON'T have an out of state lic. plate OR are braver than I am these days.) Dude, does this mean I am like, OLD?? I am only 25!!!!!!!!!! holy shit....
ok reality check. its 2:38 A.M. and I couldn't finish watching Moulin Rouge (cool movie but WEIRD!) on DVD because the home theater system is too loud for my honey to sleep (IF IT'S TOO LOUD, THEN YOU'RE TOO OLD!!) even though he helped wire the fucking thing. OH SORRY - blabbering there!! It is just that I am DAMN READY to jump and the weather is totally poking me in the arse, with sandpaper to boot. GRRRRRR
LOL :)Back to the original subject...I would TOTALLY DIG ON coming to the Mardi Gras Boogie! New Orleans is one of my favorite cities and to be able to jump just a little while away...fucking excellent, man!! (to quote Bill and Ted, on their excellent adventure, which DEFINITELY should have included skydiving!!)
OK enough.
P.S. I need a smaller canopy!!! ARGH!! Anybody want an almost new Hornet 170?? It opens great these days...I just had to learn how to pack. DOH!!!!
Blue Skies,
Sis

Hey, Dave....looks good so far for the Mardi Gras boogie on this end.. I have a pretty big SCUBA dive scheduled on Thurs, so I couldn't leave home(Daytona) until Friday morning, and I will have to be back no later than Monday morning since I have to fly out that night..
I'll let ya know for sure in the next week or so..

Oh, and one more thing......what is everybody planning on doing for sleeping arrangements? I have never scoped out the hotel situation in that area, but I've done the tent thing there before.......it's a bit nipply at night, so if you plan on camping be sure to bring a big, warm sleeping bag.. The chicks are more than welcome to join me in mine.. ;)

there are five hotels less than 5 mins from the dz i beleive they have skydiver discounts you can also do the tent thing
and there will most likely be bonfires nightly
they have two coverd packing areas(with decks onthe back)
if any one has an rv there are hookups elect&water
see ya there!!!!
its not my fault,my mind was not clear
its all because of the heineken beer......

This sucks for me big time. Moss Point is my home DZ and I am video guy there but I have been involuntarily recalled to the Marine Corps. I don't know yet if they are going to let me go home for the Boogie. Can you believe they don't recognize Mardis Gras as a holiday here. If I do get to go, I am all set to do the boogie video this year. The boogie always produces some great shots. I have another guy lined up to shoot additional footage. But if they don't let me go......
So damn it write your congressman or something. Tell them to let me go.

How about Airtran or Delta????? They both fly in to Gulfport/Biloxi, about 20 minutes from the DZ and 10 minutes from the Casinos. Another lodging option, some of the casinos offer airfare/room packages at awesome rates. I flew there and back this weekend on Airtran from Atlanta for $53 eachy way!!!
