Its way too freakin risky, i dont care HOW slow they think they can get. 60mph? 50? Even 40? Still dead, or so badly dismembered they'll never be able to even think of jumping out of a plane again.

Well, maybe they can get VERTICAL speeds down that low.....but the forward(horizontal) speeds are still 80-120MPH!! The current suits will never be landable.....maybe some future suit will be, but not the current BirdMan suits..

recorded speed down to 35mph.....& the slowest recorded vertical speed was 18mph.....

Just curious, but was that sustained or did he dive then climb out of it?

And now breaking news....in the wake of further aerodynamic development, control surfaces have been added to wing suits, allowing them to climb, stall and land. Some argue that this has already been done, it is called a hangglider, but wing suit fanatics beg to differ. "This is totally about skydivers and controlling our bodies...and the wings attached to them of course, but mainly our bodies. Oh Yeah, and beer too," said one wing-suit flyer named Reallyanair Plane.
Just how it seems to me...wing suits are just pushing toward something we already have.
