TheMarshMan1 0 #1 January 7, 2002 Alright, so I transferred out of college down in Daytona Beach (yea, i know...im nuts) and moved back up to NY temporarily (which means no more DeLand for a while)- until next fall and I find another college (thats reasonably close to a DZ). But where I live (near Rochester) theres like, no dropzones whatsoever. No dropzones means probably no skydivers and very few of my whuffo friends and none of my family members take any interest in skydiving whatsoever. Grrrrr, thank god for videos (skydiving ones)..... Anyways, come nicer weather I'm probably going to spend my weekends camping out at The Ranch, or Cross Keys, NJ. In the meantime, I'm putting my ability to ski extremely well to good use as an instructor. So who on here jumps at either of those places? When do they start jumping regularly? Ahhhhhhhhh, I'm gonna go crazy!!!! Blue Skies,Marshall

Stacy 0 #4 January 7, 2002 Heya!i jump @ Cross Keys. We're open year round. winter hours are wednesday/friday-sat-sun from 10 AM to sunset. we're flying the super otter and caravan over the winter- both are heated. if you're looking for a good weekend to try out the DZ, come on down feb 2-3. It's our freeze fest boogie and an incredible time. all the summer jumpers come out of hiding, sweet party... i believe a bunch of people from orange and the ranch are planning on coming down too. TheMarshMan1 0 #5 January 8, 2002 "You know you could go Stetson"From what I've heard, Stetson is realllllllllllly expensive, which is part of the reason I transferred out of Embry Riddle....

Spectrejumper 0 #7 January 8, 2002 There's a DZ just outside Rochester. I can't remember the name, but I'm pretty sure they jump year round. Then there's the coolest DZ in WNY--Frontier Skydivers. It's about 40 minutes from Buffalo, kinda near Niagara Falls. We're open May through October.Mike D-23312"It's such a shame to spend your time away like this...existing." TheMarshMan1 0 #8 January 8, 2002 Yeah, I'm gonna try out Frontier sometime I think. I heard a rumor that Rochester Skydivers was closed or closing....maybe it was just a rumor. Anyways....despite being a far drive away from any big DZ's, I can put some of those FAA ratings to work and fly down to the ranch, or Cross Keys...
