nws01 0 #1 December 25, 2001 A group of friends and I went to Skydive Lake Wales over the holiday and I had my first reserve ride. I was in a stable body position after tracking from an 8 way. I deployed and I immediately starting turning out of control. I got stable again but could not untangle the lines so at 2k I chopped. The Lake Wales staff immediately had people out in the pasture searching for my canopy and freebag. Luckily they found them both. I went to the riggers and they not only had my reserve repacked within two hours but they gave me a demo rig almost exactly like the one I have to jump with while they packed. I figured if I waited I might not jump again that day so I went up on the next load.Just wanted to say thanks to Lake Wales and to PD for making a reliable reserve.Nathan-"Why do I always owe beer?" dove 0 #2 December 25, 2001 I agree - Skydive Lake Wales rocks!!! I was there for a bit today (Christmas) - did this happen today? Maybe I should have stuck around for the excitement! As it was, we landed off on our jump. I have to say I've never seen so many cow patties in my life! But the dz folks were there seemingly instantaeously to get us and we all got back safely and quite amused. Happy Christmas everyone!dove

nws01 0 #4 December 26, 2001 I was there for the third and fourth loads today. I was with the ten way from Naples. We went first before the Army Knights. Were you there for those loads?
nws01 0 #5 December 26, 2001 My cutaway was yesterday though. Right after the Knights Members malfunction. There was two that day and not from Lake Wales packing. The Knights member packed his and a friend of mine packed mine. It was my first jump of the day. The packers at Lake Wales gave me six great openings!!!!!! airann 1 #8 December 26, 2001 Good going Nathan, cut it. And get on the next load. Thats what I did and it was poetry. DZ van picked me up instantly. a JM landed with me and my main. I was 2 miles off. Then driving back I found out they held the sunset load for me and DZO waiting at manifest door with his rig for me to GO. Hell, I went and it was a good day. Send your rigger his beverage and pay your case of beer tab. Its been a good day. http://www.AirAnn.comUgly Girl #

nws01 0 #10 December 26, 2001 Dove,I remember you! I was on the ten way. I had the Black and White Mirage G3 with the Black and Blue Jumpsuit. I saw you land off when I landed. Glad to know you were safe. Unfortunately I had to come back to work today so I will not be there again this week. We are getting our King Air back this weekend in Naples so I will be there. Do you come to Florida often?
dove 0 #11 December 26, 2001 Speaking of cutting away....I LIVE HERE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1A recent altitude induced divorce brought on quicker by my accident and if I am moving out my ass is going where the jumping is year-round! yippee! I love it here. I have been meaning to get to Naples - Roy is awesome! But I just noticed on the new website jumps are $20! I usually jump at Zhills cause they are only $17 there. But I try to get to Lake Wales every now and then cause that place kicks ass! I will be there on Jan 2nd or 3rd too. You coming back?BTW - what did you think of the new jumpsuit? Scwheet, huh?dove
nws01 0 #12 December 26, 2001 Dove,I did like the jumpsuit. It definetly stands out. You are right, Roy is awesome. He got me my rig and I jump with him every weekend. I doubt if I will be up this weekend. I am taking the weekend off from work but I am going to Naples because it is close. We are trying to arrange night jumps on New Years Eve. I will be up to Lake Wales and to Z Hills soon though and I will try to contact you so we can jump. You freefly mostly don't you?Nathan
dove 0 #13 December 27, 2001 Nathan,I do freefly most of the time. But I went to the Search earlier this year and I'd hate to waste all I learned there. So if you ever want to do a belly jump with someone who hasn't done one in a while I'm your girl! I always bring my weights and RW suit just in case. I just never get a chance to pull them out. As long as I am jumping out of a plane I am happy! Definitely let me know when you will be up here again. Email me! Say hi to Roy for me! Have a fantastic New Years celebration!dove
nws01 0 #14 December 31, 2001 Dove,I will be there on the 11th with Roy from Rigs and Things and probably at least a 4 Way Team and Camera Flyer.
