Pathetic story to follow

Recommended Posts

ok I'm home I can't go see the family for X-mas and it was to windy to jump (my desiscion) so I feel like bitching. I2 or 3 months ago a friend of mine says his buddy who runs a storage facility found a rig and will sell it cheap so I go check it out and it's a Jav J-4 with a sabre main. I think cool but whoever had it jacked with it cause the reserve risers are out. I tell the guy I'll take it to a rigger to get it checked out and I'll check if it's hot. I check the parachutist and sure as shit it's hot. I call the first number and it's a disconnected PCS number I call the second number and get voicemail but not O's (the guy who reported to Parachutist) voice mail. I leave a message and call the USPA and leave a message with the person in charge of that dept. @ days later this Otis guy calls me and leaves a message I return his call (mind you I've been making these calls on my dime) I explain that his rig is with my rigger and give him my riggers number and the DZ number. After some confusing phone calls he comes down for his rig. He bothers everyone asking them when my rigger is gonna show. I meet him briefly then don't see him again. So you might ask whay is this tale so pathetic. WELL!!!!!!! he didn't even offer to buy me a beer at the very least (he barely said thank you). Said jumper then prceededs to go out with the DZO and his wife and make an ass of himself and go back home the next day. now I may be crazy but if someone found my stolen rig I would buy them at least a case of beer and a jump ticket, hey a beer or two to make up for my time and phone bill would have been fine. Well thats my sad story I truly wouldn't want to be around this person when the karma slap comes.

What a riot, I wonder if he reads dz.com? -lol
True that if someone found my rig which was stolen I'd do everything I could to make that person know how happy I was, but it could also be argued that expecting something in return for a good deed could be bad karma? It definately invokes negativity.
hope you all are drunk by now ;)

Hmmm, well did the right thing. I am glad there are people like you in the world. You went out of your way to get someone's gear back to them, and a lot of people wouldn't have done that. Kudos to you!! Don't worry about karma getting HIM, be glad that it will repay YOU!! :)
