At that point, I have to do this one other thing and whamo, I have enough to run about 10 big sites or more. If you want, I can email you when the server is online. However, its stickly experimental and whats the old saying.... you get what you pay for? AirAnnBAWAHHH! and click on Hey Jude! Most do to prevent people from running anything besides a very very small server. Also, check your user contract, servers may be vorboten.AggieDave '02-------------Blue Skies and Gig'em Ags!BTHO t.u. He mentioned that and was excited that we could have so much- space or bandwidth or microbugers or whatever it is-, like my new one with the videos and all that. That one is going to take some room. So we have a separate computer to work as the server. The bandwith thing I dont get, luckily I dont have to clutter my little head with it. I figure I am on a need to know basis. And I so dont need to know anything unless I need to sign something. Cyber dude has been doing my stuff for years now. I only just met him in person in what Sept? Something like that. Anyway he is figureing it all out to have up in about a couple of weeks. But, I may have to build on to my house in the Spring. AirAnnBAWAHHH! and click on Hey Jude! They only cost $10 per month and give you your domain name for free the first year. I get 500MB, unlimited bandwidth, 5 POP emails, and CGI. They are great and have great customer support via 800 number and email. This is a great place to host. I spent a lot of time searching for servers and this was the best priced for what you get. It's not free, but damn near to it.If anyone wants to get hooked up with them, please let me know and I can get some "referal" points. Thanks!!-------------JumpinDuo.com is now better than ever! I just store my index pages on my little ISP site and use the angelfire to store videos and other large files.PM me if you want any specific info.Blues,Jhttp://www.oneeyedjackproductions.com
 jfields 0 #7 December 12, 2001 Before I got my dedicated server, I did sort of what rhuurr is talking about. I had the actual html pages on my ISP's allotted space. Then I put a bunch of images on one Geocities page, some more on another, and sound files on a third. It was clunky and annoying to maintain, but it was free. Doing it that way, as opposed to a completely geocities (or similar) site, is that I didn't have to have pop-up ads or forced banners on my ISP site.JustinMy Homepage
 cyberskydive 0 #8 December 12, 2001 Angelfire hosted my first ever website, Fortunecity.com my second, both add banners. I tell you what, go to http://board.flashkit.com and do a searchfor free web hosting and see what you dig up. I've seen some posted there that dont put banners up on your site at all.http://www.15meu.usmc.mil/
 SkydiveMonkey 0 #9 December 12, 2001 Thanks !!
