mountainman 0 #1 December 5, 2001 Hey all......with me and my 1.5 hrs last night of trying to pack that canopy, I hear some of you guys can pack yours in just a few minutes.Tell how long it takes you to pack your canopy and that you would jump it without second thoughts about your pack quality. I've seen Chuck close the container in about 2. Zennie 0 #3 December 5, 2001 I take a little closer to 20 cuz ya just can't trash pack a Sabre. So I'm real fussy about clearing the lines, quartering the slider just so and rolling the nose. Gives me really nice openings but I have to do all that stuuf.When I demo'd other canopies, I've closed in as quick as 10 minutes -- especially when trash packing."Wear the grudge like a crown. SkymonkeyONE 4 #7 December 5, 2001 I generally pack in about five minutes. I can do it in four, sometimes less, but that is only to catch a hot-load I was double-manifested for. Taking my time and bullshitting, I am normally done in about six minutes. It's not rocket science.Very-slippery, brand-new Icarus or PD parachutes need to be Psycho packed if you are in a hurry. It's just the simplest way to keep that bad oscar from squirting all around on you. If the nose is rolled, the stabilizers cleared, and the tail rolled, it's good! I'm just happy that I can get it in the bag the first time now!
