Michele 1 #31 November 28, 2001 I do have an older brother, David. He is not a writer, and he is not an actor. He drives one of those really big cranes, and all the other ones, too. He came with me on my first jump, like Dad did, but he won't go jumping. He thinks I am nuts, but there is a grudging respect that comes along with it. On the other hand, his son, my nephew Jonathan, 2 1/2 years old, has decided that he wants to fly like his Noni (me). Everytime I wear a t-shirt about skydiving, he points and says "me too". He loves watching my videos, and laughs and claps his hands each time I land (of course, I am thrilled each time I land, too!!). He'll see an airplane, and holler "Hi, Noni" (according to his mom). And he knows what a parachute is, although he can't say it. He calls them "wings on top", as in "Yuukit, Mommy, Noni wings on top movie!" O.K., enough blathering about my nephew (and don't get me started on the baby!)Ciels-Michele"What of the dreams that never die? SpeedRacer 1 #34 November 28, 2001 You took care of the orang?? Are you a vet? When my father got back from Colorado he was telling me about how all the cast members were raving on & on about how smart that orangutan was. They were saying he could almost talk, he seemed so human, etc. etc.Speed RacerWhat contemptible scoundrel has stolen the cork from my lunch?!-WC Fields

pyke 0 #37 November 28, 2001 Well, I don't know if this qualifies, but while visiting a mate in Japan this year...I was talking to his flatmate, Melissa, when she asked me what movies I liked....I replied, "Silence.." and left it at that - not realising I hadn't finished the title. She replies, "that's funny, you named the one movie my Dad was in."So, I sort of freaked and inquired who he was - "he was Buffalo Bill".Come to find out that my mate's flatmate (and now girlfriend) is Ted Levine's daughter.Later that night, we were watching "Friday" and he rings up - so we are in the living room quoting the movie and he is on the phone quoting the movie - kind of weird, but cool!Other than that, I got really drunk with Danyon Loader, double Gold Medallist in Swimming in '96, in New Zealand while I lived there. He and I found ourselves at the bar at the same time so I bought him a drink and he invites me to join he and his girlfriend (an American) at their table. 4 hours later, I stumbled home.Sorry I couldn't be more exciting, but there you go!Kahurangi e Mahearangi,Pyke The Kiwi Lesbian!!!USPA C- 31879

freeflir29 0 #40 November 29, 2001 "i did once make it onto tv here on the AFN (armed forces network)"Come one Dude! I got a 10 minute spot on AFKN (Korea) of me dropping bombs at the range. It was embarassing though. I had a Squadron commander and the 7th Air Force Commander (3 Star General) flying two F-16's that day. That damn 3 Star obviously spends far too much time behind a desk. He missed the targets every single time. Of course, they used that clip in the report! Dammitt! The Squadron commander was shit hot though....."and I'm not easily impressed...Ooohh look...a blue car!" -Homer Simpson
SkymonkeyONE 4 #41 November 29, 2001 I am not sure how many times I am going to have to hear: "I saw you on TV again last night." This, of course, from flying Joan Lunden in our wind tunnel for the "Behind Closed Doors" series. I was nappy headed and pretty hung over that day, but got through it in typical slick fashion. Lovely..ChuckMy webpage HERE
