Hey Harro; I've only done 1 chopper jump but, I will tell you what I can. When I jumped I whent from a bell Jet Ranger. It held 4 jumpers, Pilot, and 1 tator. when I whent out it was at 4000ft agl and as close to a hover as the pilot could get. this realy gives you a feeling of falling. It was also very quiet until you start to pick up speed. Kind of an expensive hop n pop at $45 but given the chance I think I would do it again.

"other than jumping up"
If you need instruction on that one you probably shouldn't be skydiving! Other than that it depends on how good the pilot is I.E. how slow he can get the bird at alti. The slower the better. Just have fun in that dead air space. If you are trying to stay stable go off in a bit of a head high position. But why would you want to do that!?

Just like a regular airplane, each helicopter has different procedures for jumping it. The pilot should go over the exit with you before you leave. If he doesn't, ask him.
Have fun, helicopter jumps are pretty cool.

after you jump and get to terminal make sure to track away
from the helio . you dont want to have some one above you or
below you when you pull they are fun but you usualy jump from a low alt.(4000-5000) so you dont have much time for seperation.
have chute. will fall.
