hey all. in pure exhileration i finally gave up my search for semi decent directions.. moments later i stumbled apon a great link (thanks skydive perris website!!!) and was able to find out what friggin states i would be passing by.!!!

so, here is my route. if youre local to any of the roads, or maybe even a bit off the beaten path, and want a visitor you know who to tell!!! also, if ya know any descent country roads to subsatute id appreciate it soooooo much!

Geee.... you pass within 2 miles of my place here:
10.Go West on I-70 WESTpassing by Zanesville,OH to I-270(Exit 108).
11.Go Northwest on I-270 passing by Columbusto I-70 WEST(Exit 8)
12. Go West on I-70 WEST passing by Springfield, OH to Indiana.
But these directions are wrong..... if you go north around Columbus you are adding 25 miles to the trip. If you go south its only 5 extra. Taking 70 all the way through town is another option (its down to 2 lanes downtown ) Depending on the day and time you pass through, there ia a DZ within 20 minutes if you are itching to strech the legs and jump OR a CASA is only an hour away
If you need a place to crash at when you get to this stage, my couch is open. Plus I've got high speed internet if you need to keep up to speed on what you are missing here.

Same thing Phree was saying about Columbus applies to Indianapolis. I never take the bypass around, except maybe during rush hour. Even then, there's a ton of construction going on, it'll probably be better just to take 70 through Indy.
Oh, and I can almost see I-70 from my place if you need a place to rest a little west of Dayton, OH.

I agree with Wildblue...taking the bypass around Indy is totally not worth it. You should just go right on through. I live an hour north of Dayton, so if you accidentaly take a right in Dayton, and are heading north, gimme a jingle (phone call).

yey, what phree and wildblue said.. your going to actually go right by where my sister lives (springfield)(she has 2 s/l jumps) and I-70 is about a 30 minute drive from my parents house....... your going to go the same exact route that i took when i came to cross keys this past summer... when ya going on this trip... i'll be back home the first week of december... please say it's going to be then.......lol, probly not but i can wish can't i????

They suck, Houston isnt on there.
You cant go anywhere without going by Houston. Hey, your going to be in Texas anyway whats another 1200 miles er so. For us thats nothing, even if we are on the John Deere.

yey, i 'm with ann on this one we need dates!!! and just to let you know, crosskeys to columbus ohio is 500 miles and a very nice 8-10 hour drive...... i wouldn't speed once i got into PA if i was you and i wouldn't push more than maybe 70 on the PA turnpike!!! let us know when your leaving and returning....... i'll be in ohio for almost the whol month of dec... ya waiting that long, or ya going there in nov?..... ya gona take the same route back home???

Hey, yeah, drop in to Archway if you go by on a weekend! That'd be cool... also, if you need a break from the road as you're coming through Illinois anytime, Champaign is about 60 miles north of I-70, it's a little off the path, but like I said, if ya need a break... Marc
