FallingMarc 0 #1 September 24, 2001 I rarely remember any dreams at all, but I had a very vivid skydiving dream a couple of weeks ago, and still remember it clearly... I don't know what it is about it, but I've been thinking about it a lot. I get to Archway, get geared up and manifested, then exit the King Air for a solo dive. The freefall is uneventful, and a little above 3 grand, I reach, pull the PC out, let it go, and watch it inflate and fly away, nothing attached to it. The bridle had torn off. I calmly think, "that's not right," and pull silver. My reserve opens normally, although I was unbelievably low--I pulled, watched the canopy open, then looked down and realized it was about time to flare. I don't remember waiting that long to pull the reserve, but hey, dreams are wierd that way. After landing, I went in and talked to some people, and nobody really had much to say about what could have happened. I didn't even think it was that big of a deal for some reason, oh, hey, first high speed mal, case of beer, you know, that's that. I don't know why I'm writing this here, I guess, I just wanted to know what people thought... pretty wierd waking up with that in my head, that's all...Marc0:3:0, but the weather was so awesome, the 3 jumps so much fun, it made up for the zeros... freeflir29 0 #2 September 24, 2001 Hmmm...I had one last week when the planes were grounded about BASE jumping. We were going off a building and I watched everyone else go...about 4-5 people I think but I didn't want to go. I was really concerned that the rig wouldn't open. I remember pulling the velcro flap almost all the way open before I put the rig on. I finally jumped...it was like a 75 Ft BASE and the chute opened right before my feet hit the ground. I just fell onto my butt with no forward speed at all. It was really cool though cause the dream was incredibly vivid. It was as close to BASE as I will probably ever get since I have no desire to do such things. "This conversation ends right here Captain! wingnut 0 #3 September 24, 2001 dudes,what has hapened...i hadf this dram once.. i was skydiving at this dz and it was just me and all these sky chicks..and we had this unbelevable party at night that would rival anything anywhere, and then i ened up with a ratio of something like 30:50:10....man that was a kick ass dream...now i just need to have it while sleeping instead of thinking of it as i sit here at my computer..... on a real note my nubers ened up being: 0:1:1"up my noooossseee"- wingnut, at first euro dz.com boogie Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

jtval 0 #5 September 24, 2001 weird man. ive been having that dream since before i left america. (about early august)its the same one over and over...I loose track of time(altitude) and pull just intime the flare and land. the landing is soft and uneventful, other then the fact that my main JUST opened. nobody seemed to think it was wierd. they just wlka around and say stuff like "nice landing" and "congrats" and, "you pulled it off."the wierd thing is,is that I'v ehad this dream for two weeks b4 i left. and on my last jump(the same day that i left) i opened LOW. just above cypress territory i was open about 1700. thats way too low for me to feel comfortable. that was my last jump.SELF PROFETIZED DREAMS? maybe but i have since ordered a pro track audible...even though i cant use it for a year...wonder what that dream means...if anything.have funLIVE FREE,skydiveJT Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
