Zennie 0 #1 September 14, 2001 Yes I've been somewhat quiet about this whole mess mainly because, quite frankly, I'm depressed as hell about the whole thing. Things like this aren't doing much to improve my mood. Here's a choice quote: "'I’m proud to be American and I hate Arabs and I always have,' said 19-year-old Colin Zaremba, who marched with the group from Oak Lawn."**Sigh** --------Zennie"I know the pieces fit. nimbus 0 #2 September 14, 2001 Yes, I'm ashamed people are acting like this. It does nothing to honour those who died nor those who are missing them. The Lebanese church attacked in Australia (mentioned in the article) was actually a Christian church. Shows the knee-jerk ignorance of some people. Jumperpaula 0 #3 September 14, 2001 Im just taking it all in too. Don't have anything to say that hasn't been said. Hoping to loose myself in mindless Skydiver Chat, but it hasn't really been that way lately. xoxox Paula Fly Your Slot !
Aviatrr 0 #4 September 14, 2001 It's pretty pathetic, isn't it? I hate people like that.. There's no reason for that shit, and it accomplishes nothing.. Hopefully most of this shit will die out in the next few weeks - but, I doubt it.. If anything, it will probably get worse.. I feel sorry for the people that have to put up with this crap..Mike
mountainman 0 #5 September 14, 2001 I have heard of a lot of this happening lately as well. There is a popular Muslim church about an hour north of me (which looks like a small Taj Mahal) and it has suffered bullet holes and broken windows lately. It is a shame and sad thing that some people are so dumb as to single people out just because they are darker or whatever. *sigh*--------------Boogie pics coming!!! SpeedRacer 1 #6 September 14, 2001 It kinda puts into perspective the image of those assholes celebrating in Palestine. Don't forget, we have our own hooligans here in America too.Speed Racer"Come up to my lab,And see what's on the slab!"

Dutchboy 0 #8 September 14, 2001 It is sad. I was out last night with a friend of mine. He is British, but born in Iraq. When deciding where to eat last night, he actually threw out a couple options because he thought there would be more rednecks there, and possible trouble. He actually has a better attitude than most about it. He realizes it is natural for people to be suspicous of Arabs that they don't know at the moment. The Dutchboyhttp://www.geocities.com/ppolstra
freeflir29 0 #9 September 14, 2001 "because he thought there would be more rednecks there, and possible trouble."Going out in Kennesaw or Woodstock maybe? LOLYeah the Arab or even closely related seem to have expected this and are dealing with it pretty well. It sucks that people will act like this. A guy I work with is from Palestine but Christian. His words, "Ahh this is nothing. In Palestine I was hated on the Arab side cause I was Christian and on the Israeli side cause I was Arab" and we all know how deep the hatred is there. At least it seems we learned from our mistake in WWII and there have been many politicians speaking out against the way we treated the Japanese Americans. I guess it's only a stupid mistake if you make it twice.....Like my thoughts of rejoining the military lately....LOL"We must kill them. We must exterminate them. airann 1 #10 September 14, 2001 CornMan, CornHolio! (Clay): Good Boy, you said something good and I read it. Is that 2 cases or 1?Regarding the round up of "non-Americans" and the fact that the United States did in fact have concentration like camps just after the Pearl Harbor dealio, ... (AirAnn assumes this is what you meant) <<<<....only a stupid mistake if you make it twice.....>>>Discrimination is bad. It can also mean classification. But not to be confussed with each other. good-bad-real-indifferentZennie! Do you have any idea how I have "classified you"? Right this very second, in my yahoo address book, You are listed as Peace Maker. I did this when I had a virus, (gone). I wanted everyone to know where the virus came from if they caught it -off me. We could find the source. I did not want my friends identified as "associating with me" if -I was a target- of Wreck Dot terrorists. Levin isnt a Rat Dog, Ramon is a SkyGod, Scotty is an Old Fart. It is was the frist thing I thought about when filling out the yahoo mail when I was in a hurrry, cause my computer was crashing. Zennie is a Peace Maker. One of the last great heros who give a shyt about people in general. (imo) The dude doesnt say f*k it, or f*k you. Levin isnt a Rat Dog, he calls Flea Flyer that.Ramon is a SkyGod, the dude is a really good freeflyer. But he is nice.Scotty, well...I have been discriminated against all my life. Even as you read this you are classifying me.Example: He is Black. He is Big. He eats alot. He poops a LOT.Tiny penis for big guy?-All true.- not bad though.Myths:MeanWill kill youThreatDo not approach him, because of above. This is my Great Dane - Skeet.Zennie... I love you! Man, you are the most awesome, I bow my head to you and back away, for I am not worthy. For you to care so much for those you do not know, is wonderful. Wonderful for us all, for you do as you speak. You do as we ask... you DO spread the love. You lead us by example.I am very proud of you.I am glad to have met you for one second.I am lucky to be your friend.I am sad that you are sad. So, cut it out!! Babe.... we cant do anything yet to fix this. We can not help but in the ways that have been already listed other places. I betcha you are somewhat frustrated that you can not personally go and make everyone feel better. For this thought, if I am right, I am in awe of you. You stay just as you have always been, and that is the best help in the world. You stay a caring individual. But at the same time, you can not let AirAnn down. Smile for those fortunate. riggerrob 643 #11 September 14, 2001 Why?Why did terrorists crash 4 airliners? What kind of message were they trying to send?If we don't listen, then more than 4,000 people died in vain!
freeflir29 0 #12 September 14, 2001 "What kind of message were they trying to send?"Ahh another confused soul. Rob....there is NO MESSAGE! None whatsoever. These people believe that you and I represent all that is evil in the world. There is no message. They only want to rid the earth of non-believers. Genocide is their plan. Luckily they haven't had the power to committ that crime........yet."and behold, a pale horse, and he who sat on it, his name was death"-RevelationsClay
Zennie 0 #13 September 14, 2001 Wow Ann! That's an awful lot to take in at once!QuoteIt can also mean classification. But not to be confussed with each other. good-bad-real-indifferentI was trying to explain this to my Dad. That the dualities that we create (and which often lead to conflict & suffering).... good/evil, hot/cold, up/down, us/them are subjective and exist only in our minds. I think the point was lost on him, as it is on most people. I've reached a point where I understand that this isn't something that can be communicated to someone... you have to feel & understand it on your own.QuoteThe dude doesnt say f*k it, or f*k you. Heh. You haven't been around me enough. I've said both. On several occasions...QuoteI did not want my friends identified as "associating with me"Ann, you don't have to hide the fact that I'm you're friend from anyone. I certainly don't.QuoteZennie... "Worthiness" is yet another of those things I really don't care about.Quotewe cant do anything yet to fix this. Nope. Just try to treat everyone with kindness.
