Try to keep in mind that this is not mainstream Islamic thought or teachings.
You could get a pretty ugly picture of christianity from
www.godhatesfags.com or probably hundreds of other websites that I don't care to read.
I have friends and even a girlfriend of muslim faith. Their morality is pure and runs deeper in many cases than most westerners. They believe in a merciful, loving god and are generous, honest people.
I'm not religious myself, but I'm in favor of any belief system that helps you to live like a decent person.
And to put things in perspective, it was the west and their crusades who originally waged holy war on the nation of Islam to free the holy land (jerusalem) from the clutches of heathens.
Giving the jews Israel was just a buffer so that they could fight the muslims for a while. This situation would exist regardless of US policies towards Israel.
Lets say Hitler succeeded in eradicating the Jews. Would it be acceptable to christian extremists to have Muslims occupying the land of Christ? I think not.

Apoil: I have to aggree with what you're writing here.
Please people we have just witnesed the most horrific terrorist attack of our time. Let our thoughts be with those who have lost those dearest to them and for God/Allah/Our Own sake please please lets not stir up more hatred.
Those responsible will meet justice I am certain, but we have the moral responsibility not to lash out at anyone vaguely similar to those rumoured to have done this. To do so would make us like them....
My prayers are with those who have passed and those who are mourning.

Eric Rudolph is a Christian extremist. It doesn't change the fact that he needs to be dead. I didn't write the web pages cited above. It's merely a fact of some groups beliefs. It just really bothers me that so many people around the world are ignorant to the facts. As I said, form you're own opinion. Islamic groups have been at war with the west for many years now. Wake the fuck up!

Yes that's exactly what "Fundamentalism" is. The particular religious denomination is irrelevant. There is more variation in peoples beliefs within a given denomination than between two denominations.
The real enemy is not the members of an entire religion, but those few people who believe in this black & white, fundamentalist bullshit, regardless of their religion. They are the ones who are the most likely to form terrorist groups & wreak havoc on innocent lives b/c they don't recognize any humanity in the people who belong to a different country or religion. Well said Speedy. Look....I'm sitting in a training class today with a guy that is from Palestine. He is a nice guy and was just as shocked as anyone else at yesterdays events. I'm not saying that People should go out in the streets of America and start rounding up and killing every Islamic person they can find. I'm saying that someone must be held responsible. Israel holds the PLO responsible for terrorist attacks on their people. I think it is becoming obvious that the Taliban needs to be held responsible for several incidents in recent memory. Terrorism doesn't go away by being nice. Being nice gets you dead. I'm certainly not afraid of death but dieing for someone elses cause is not on my list of things to do. During the cold war we intimidated our enemies with nuclear weapons. This was possible because our enemy was a nation state. They had land and people to worry about. The current situation doesn't give us that nicety. We must intimidate or exterminate our enemies now. Prefferably the latter IMHO. We must make the cost high not just for the individuals that perpetrate these acts but for all that support them. No matter the level of support given. Above I listed a website, Kavkaz.org, click on the link in the upper right corner that says "to support our cause" That gives an address to a bank right here in good old USA. Oregon. My son lives in Oregon. I would gladly put some MK-84's right through the fucking owner's house. How any "American" can support Jihad is beyond me. Cutting your own throat for monetary gain is nuts!
