flytrybe 0 #1 March 20, 2007 Did my own safety day this Sunday (No.04) Few cents of the day (after). Penny one: The flat line of your audible is not a signal for you to evaluate the situation, it’s a call for action, set it right. Penny two: Make sure you can land your reserve, anywhere safely, that include on an urban area, on a junkyard, downwind and down hill in a driveway lined with very close trees. Penny three: Have a book, write your book right, read the book and do it.. by the book. i.e: Know your limits. N.B. Most DZ have trees, even a full on town with houses, cars, power lines hills and all kinds of crap, even the ones that look real safe usually have that stuff readily available, check a mile or so out... Skydive Elsinore has an amazing staff that really mobilized themselves to go help find my fancy stray xaos for hours. It was found Smile X-tra thanks to Carly, Lob, “big” Dave, Delo and Nacho. And the Pizza delivery dude too.
