Julie 0 #1 August 26, 2001 Yes, this is newbie stuff, but...I just had to tell everyone...I've made it to jump 17 (YEAH!) okay, two were tandems, but...I got to jump from 13500 yesterday (I started on S/L and am a VERY slow learner)...and I got to jump from the King Air and not the C182! I had an absolute blast yesterday! I went through a period there where I couldn't land worth a flip and wanted to stop before I really hurt myself. Worked hard and got over that and now with freefall it is absolutely amazing. I love this stuff.Enough ranting...I'll stop now...but you guys are the only ones who get it...thanksJulie
Viking 0 #2 August 26, 2001 QuoteEnough ranting...I'll stop now...but you guys are the only ones who get it...thanksya i tryed to tell me mom about us getting a new rigger and me being able to learn how to pack Student chutes to pay for my jumps and all she said was "You need to think about getting a real job and stop waisting your time" I am 21 and have always had to go to school and was never allowed to do fun stuff that I wanted to do and now that i find it she trys to make me quit!!!! Plus she said will never skydive so turning her is out of the question. atleast my dad knows its like he did a tandem with me when i did my first jump I swear you must have footprints on the back of your helmet

Cacophony 0 #4 August 27, 2001 King Airs rock all but wait till you get to a plane with a big door like a Twin Otter or Caravan. These are usually slower than king airs though so they all have their own advantages. Great job!Safe landings,Alex D-23912
Pammi 0 #5 August 27, 2001 Okay, I'm losing my mind, but I know I posted to this. *shrug* Congrats to you anyway Julie! Newbie stuff is welcome here! Keep sharing! We were all newbies at one time, and I still feel like one most times! Even with 62 jumps, there is still SO much to learn and I still suck ... that's the fun of it! More to do all the time. It's only gonna get better girl! PA new page! Bi-Plane pics!
